Well, every year the Benglas need someone to keep their reputation going! Thoughts? When does the NFL say enough and start throwing these guys out?

What a joke! Makes me so proud to be a life long Bengal fan.

He has been in trouble more than once...And you now know what that means...Suspension time...And it better be 4-6 games like Big Ben got or there is something wrong somewhere!

Agree he should get a suspension. He punched a bartender in the face...I am not sure if that is as bad as a sexual assualt case..but I am an advocate for kicking him out of the league, he was always in trouble in Chicago too. Ray Lewis, Pacman Jones, Big Ben, Vick, Vince Young (recently in an assault case) and so on should all be kicked out...it is getting old all the crap these guys pull..if they were normal citizens like us they would all be behind bars...Vick is the only who spent time..but sad thing is he should have never gotten out..he may get suspended again for violation of some rule..it never ends with these guys.

Having anger problems, and punching a bar employee.

Having Rape problems, and on multiple occasions sexually assualting women.

I can see the similarities.

They dont have to be similar Dublin.A crime is a crime.Goodell has a zero tolerance policy on any player charged or accused of a crime,no matter what it is..So in this case Benson should already be in deeper water just for the mear fact he was arrested.Big Ben wasn't even arrested.

Dosen't matter,you commit a crime Goodell sees to it you pay for it.And well he should.I really think he needs to look at the Bengals organization themselves a little closer, because they've had many run in's with he law.Yes,you are responsible for yourself,but maybe the atmosphere down there leads to it??

i keep saying the bengals keep taking these dang head cases thinking they can change them, it nearly never works, i wanted them to take a good back the whole dang draft, and we needed another qb. we are one low blow away from jt o'sullivan, or jordan palmer, geesh.

Benson had stayed out of trouble because he knew this was his last good chance at a big pay day. Now he has his contract and has done well. He also has gotten comfortable. Many of these players just do not understand that getting in trouble with the law is like an alcoholic having a drink. They need to keep themselves out of situations that might get them in trouble. Once their career is over they will not even come close to making what they are now. So being in a place that might get you in trouble they need to either let their bodygaurd handle the trouble or to keep them from getting into trouble. They want to party they are gambling with their paycheck.

Did Roethlisberger commit a crime? I don't know; I was not there. Will he ever be convicted? Nope. Yet, he got a 4-6 game suspension.

Benson will plead down to something less than felonious assault should be suspended for the whole year.

So true Tiger...one hit and their season goes to the crapper..

Also, I would say the Bengals have had their fair share of criminals in the past..not too proud to say Corey Dillon was in a Bengals jersey! But, the NFL has so many people in it that belong behing bars it isn't funny. But I want to say, the Bengals also have a list of good guys on their team..Palmer is one and also Ndukwe who is a hard hitting safety devotes a lot of time to charity and he conducted a football camp this summer for down and out kids. The NFL needs to rout out the bad guys and keep the good...case and point.

I think ben still has a civil suit pending in court, from the other girl. The same thing O.J. went through.
Bens body guards have to go to court. Don know out come. What benson did was wrong. But i think rape is worse than a hit in the face. Why dont we say murder is the same as a hit in the face . The law has penaltes for every crime. Some are worse than others . All are wrong and action should be taken.

i'm just saying you cannot draft people that have never had anything. that are established head cases , white, black. anybody. then hand them multimillion dollar contracts n expect them to do anything but keep messing up, cept now they are loaded. with the draft process as it is now, and free agency , you know exactly what you are getting, stay da heck away from head cases that are already well established .draft character n talent. and pride and ability, not take someone else's headache, and make them a multimiilionairre.

There is the illusion we fans post about and that is get rid of the bad guys. Problem is, I don't know of many professional teams that haven't had some kind of "problem" player(s). We can all salute the Steelers for getting rid of Santonio Holmes but how many of you Steeler fans really think they are a better team for doing it? We can all feel good and agree it was the right thing to do Pre-September. If the Steelers are 3-5 late October and no one can catch Big Ben's throws (he'll be back), Steeler Nation will be up in arms and ranting about it. And I'm not picking on the Steelers or Bengals; just saying when you are dealing with elite athletes, you are going to have a certain number of "problems" to deal with and there is no way to avoid it.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------dazed though we've become friends and have had many cool conversations. i still think people know what is right and wrong. and you can raise your children with the highest morals , and standards . but they still can stray, with that said, again i say. with the draft process being what it is today, and free agency being what is is today. you generally know who, and what you are getting, if these kids are good kids when they had nothing, then they will generally be great kids with money. if they were trouble before, then it will get worse with millions, in their pockets.
