Yeah Right, they will offer him a couple extra million in this uncapped year and he'll be in Minnesota when camp breaks.

I really, really dont like the guy at all....but what he did last year in Minnesota was remarkable. Yes, he had a great line and great weapons around him, but it was still ridiculous that he still had the ability that he had.

I blame ESPN for this. Before you report a story get the facts, just because Joe Blow said Farve texted him. ESPN is becoming a joke first the LeBron thing and now this. The world wide leader in hear say.

MLB should be concerned when Farve being at a high school practice and having no comment gets 3x the coverage that their entire sport does. haha

Farve hurt his left ankle. If he has been out on his tractor then he has had to use that ankle to push in the clutch. Which on these new tractors takes quite a bit of effort. Along with just getting on the tractor. You have to go off one foot while the other one is on a step. Then just getting into the truck his was driving today would not be easy.
Farve did very well last year when he got protection. When he got hit hard he realized his age. He would short arm some of his throws after a hard hit. Last year the Viking players had to deal with reporters on Farve and are doing the same this year. This has to be wearing on the players and the fans. They are making him out to be the only way the Vikings will have a chance at the Super Bowl this year. If he gets hurt the circus will start again. They will want to know when and if he is coming back. Then if he does not play well who gets the blame. If he wanted to play he should have been there. The saying from the coach in the movie Replacements was the team has to have heart. Farve does not have the heart to do all that is necessary to be a pro player. He is a part time player who is there only when the spotlight is on him.

I think brett will play if money gets high enough. up to 20 mill so far. They said , there will be no scab games if there is a strike. One thing they need to address is rookie salery . they need a cap. Its bad when a proven player makes less than a rookie. AND HOW MANY ROOKIES DONT WORK OUT !!!! alot

Farmer, what a stupid post. Farve doesn't have the heart, he has never missed a start in his career. And then you quote about a bunch of actors in a movie about scabs. Farve is 40 years old and put up better numbers than 29 other starting QB's wheather you like him or not he is one of the best and toughest.

What did I say that was stupid? So he has never missed a start.
The qoute in the movie was the coach knew his scab QB had more heart and desire to do all he could to make the team better.
Farve had the best year of his career in many stats but he didn't go thur off season and preseason workouts. Like him or not it is still a team game. He is making a joke of the veterans who are busting their butts in practice while Farve has not even decided if he is going to play. Farve only shows when the spotlight is on him. He wouldn't even answer the question directly about playing. Guess he can go make commercials about not being able to make decisions again.

Farve is under contract. If it is not about money why are the Vikings offering him more money? Farve didn't release any info on the day it was said he was retiring. All that came out was hearsay from people. He can go to a high school practice and help but not to the team he is being paid from. He can go to the Vikings and help out there.
BBall if you had a hurt ankle would you be driving around in a truck that you have to step in and out of like Farve is. Not like he could not afford something else.
People think Farve will have a year like he did last if he comes back. But he could do like he did with the Jets also.
Some people believe everything Farve says as he keeps changing his mind. Along with allowing him to do as he wants all the time. He made it clear last year he did not want to do pre season. There are rules for Farve then rules for the other players.

Minnesota is ok with Farve missing pre season. They know he is 40 years old and they need him fresh and healthy for the regular season. They also know he gives them the best chance to win. There are players on other teams under contract that were holding out for more money, Revis, Hainsworth and Johnson. If Revis comes back after the season starts his coach said he would start him. ESPN reported this false story because it gave them viewers, if they were really tired of it they wouldn't report on it. I get sick of hearing it too, but you can't dispute how good Farve is. I don't think any Minnesota fans are complaining about him coming back. I would much better hear about him not making up his mind, than big Ben trying to rape someone or Vick in a gun fight.

Here is what Hall of Fall player John Riggins thinks about Haynesworth and Farve.
Courtesy of the Washington Post's Dan Steinberg, Riggins was quoted as saying, "(Haynesworth) plays when he wants to play, and he takes plays off when you need him out on the field ... "I've never been around a coach that thinks for a second that that's the kind of player that's going to help you win a championship. So my advice, not that anybody's asking it, is to fire the guy. Get him the hell out of camp. The guy's an infection. Why do you want him down in the locker room?"
And Haynesworth wasn't the only one Riggins ripped into, as he continued, saying about Donovan McNabb: "I think he'll come closer to winning the election then he will becoming a Super Bowl winning quarterback."
And on Brett Favre: "If you see this man call the local authorities," Riggins said of Favre. "Do not try to apprehend him by yourself. He's nuts."
