Play calling at the end of games.

This happened at the end of the Tittans and Steelers game. Where the Tittans had time for one last play only to throw the ball close to the line of scrimmage. To not even take a chance at throwing the ball deep. They were down 8 points that after the TD going for 2. This has happened in a few games I saw at the end of the game where the team pretty much gives up. This goes against one of the great sayings that you play to win the game.

Also where teams need a first down to extend the game running plays short of the first down. Some of the play calling or just the execution of the play is off.

Does others see this as a problem?

I guess they were afraid of yet, another turnover. ;-) Good thing our defense is playing well, because our offense is enemic. But that should be expected when your 4th string QB is playing.

This is where stats should not matter. Another turnover or a chance to win the game. Sometimes you have to gamble. Just like Mich St vs ND. They went for the win.

they may have thought they had a better chance of getting it in the hands of their playmaker rather than throwing it up deep. they really aren't built for hail mary type throws with that roster.
