Subject: I need a reason to renew my tickets for next year.

Good morning,

I have been a season ticket holder since 1994. I am having a difficult time deciding if I will renew for next year. The team appears to have completely fallen apart. I am not optimistic that there will be significant changes to bring on improvement.

Could someone please tell me why I should renew my tickets?

This is not a joke.

Here's the Bengals response he got over the phone from Tim Kelly "This is the email he sent me telling me what Tim told him over the phone."

Quote:
I sent the email below to the Bengals yesterday.

Some guy named Tim from the Bengals just called me and said I should wait till after the season to decide. He said that there would be changes and after I hear what they are I should then decide if I’m going to renew my tickets.

P.S I dont own season tickects.

No big deal about the changes if they do not make the right changes.

1. Getting a football GM and Brown less involved in day to day activities.

2. Getting rid of Lewis and many of the other coaches.

3. Getting rid of Carson Palmer.

4. Evaluating the players they have now.

5. Getting a good head coach.

6. Keeping Zimmer. I think he would be a better DC than head coach.

I will say this, with the right head coach you don't need to get rid of Carson,,,example: Jon Gruden, he runs the "Bill Walsh" original West Coast offense which would be perfect for Carson at this time.

At times Carson Palmer has showed no arm strength on some passes. Just throwing the ball up in the air. Then he comes back and throws a dart right on target. Palmer needs to be evaluated by a good coach who knows QB's as well as having a full physical to determine if it is a physical problem.

just five short years ago he was a top 3 qb in the league, now i wouldn't want him anywhere near that center. just seems like he lost some of his passion for the game

Playing for the Bungals, that could do it to a player.

If changes are not made in Cinci they will lose some of their fans.

Ignore this comment, after watching that game on Sunday I don't believe that the great Bill Walsh, or any other coach can help Carson, he has lost his confidence and I truly don't know why, when you have the weapons around that he has he should have more confidence than any other quarterback in the league.

Maybe some of those weapons are the problems?

Judging TO's behavior on the sidelines and watching the replays of the first pick six where TP took it to the house, I have to agree with you. That one was on TO, not Palmer.

Palmer is the primary culprit, but his big $ receivers are not helping him out.

You are right, T.O and chad do more free lanceing instead of running there routes. Palmer dont know where to throw, and he only has 3 seconds to make up his mind. Not all the time. but i would say 60% is free lanceing

They were a team built to run the ball last year. Now they do not know who they are or what their identity is.

It is hard to get offensive lineman to block good run one year then pass the next. Especially when they are not the best linemen to begin with. That is one reason why they need a football man as the GM not named Brown. The GM should not be the coach either. They have not developed linemen and the high draft pick used on the injured Smith may never work out.

One of the big things needed with this team is a psycologist to evaluate the players and future players.

Marvin has been there long enough even though some of it is not his fault a new coach may get the players already there to play better.

And just remember, Cincy tried to get Michael Vick when he got out of prison,,,,,but some higher ups didn't want the media headache,,,,,they like the we are losers and don't want to do anything about it headaches better.

Marvin is no fool. He turned down an extension last year. He just may have had enough of the merry-go-round. I think he'll take some time off and with the Rooney rule, he'll be back hopefully in a better situation.
