i hate the 49ers , but i dig mike singletary, always have.

Mike might be better as an assistant than as the head coach. He has great drive an fire to get players going but the QB situation he has had did not help. They have a lot of good but young offensive linemen which takes playing time to get better. Mike would have been better off not talking with the QB's during the game and allowing his assistants to do that. But he did have problems with the OC and that led to players always learning something new.

The move needed to be done because the management lost faith in some of what he was doing. Mike will do better also.

Great competitior but not the right temperment for a head coach!

I think Singletary is a good coach with a bad team. I would like to see him coach the Bengals.

Mike is a good coach, and in time will get another shot at a head coaching job. The 9ers have so many problems from the top down it won't matter who they bring in.

Him and Troy Smoth were arguing on the sideline yesterday, i wonder if thats was the deciding factor??

Could be as many as 11 new coaches next season depending on what some owners are thinking. As for Mike, i knew he was in trouble earlier in the season when the bottom started to fall out regarding the OC. I think Troy is a better option in the long run for the Niners at qb but with a new coach we'll have to wait and see what direction the team takes.

Troy Smith will never be a starting QB in the NFL. He needs to talk to Cribbs and Devon Hester.
