Reds Opening Day
Have been to hundreds of Reds games over the years but will be attending my first opening day game this year. What activities should I look to attend? Is the parade worth watching?

Re: Reds Opening Day
The Market street parade is what makes it so awesome.....Don't forget the Reds HOF, Seeing all the great Reds Legends in the stands and on the field.........Openning day in Cinci is right up there with the 4th of July and Christmas to me.
Where are you sitting? I'll be there this year!!!
GO REDS GO!!!!!!!

Re: Reds Opening Day
gahs: Dad and Charley Ross took me to the old crosley when I was in high school. Very cool to see.
Re: Reds Opening Day
I did that once and forgot about them. I was so tired I went in the house and went to bed in the middle of August. It was a friday night and Monday morning I got in the truck and about died from the smell. We took Charlie Ross to a Reds game and old Crosley when he retired from Merillat.
I cant remember how many went in the van, but I do remember Sam Hale, Bobby Gill, Steve Greer, and probably your Dad.
I stopped in Eastgate on the way home and picked up a Cravecase full of White Castles to take home, and they stunk up the van something fierce. They offered to give me my money back if I would throw them out the window. Love them sliders!

I'm excited for the season to get started. I don't really like Dusty's opening day pitcher pick, but hopefully it works out. Go REDS!

MOF,
The parade is OK, nothing great, but it does commemorate the start of baseball in the place where the MLB was born. If you are into history, it's worth it.
I went to the parade the year they opened the new stadium, since I had tickets to the first-ever game at GAB. If you are going to Opening Day, you should consider attending the parade. If nothing else, it's a bunch of Reds fans all jacked up for the start of baseball. This year's will probably be fun.
AND YOU WILL GET TO SEE THE COWBOY!
A parade regular.

Watch the parade, tour the HOF if you haven't, but make sure to be in the stadium for all the pregame festivities
