Columbus Clippers at Louisville Bats(Series)

game 1
Billy Hamilton did everything he could (4 hits, he swiped three bases and knocked in two) but it was not enough as the Bats fall to the Clippers,7-2.
Columbus had two hits each by Tim Fedroff, Luis Hernandez and Juan Diaz to lead the offense.Adam Abraham (Michigan) (remember his name) went yard for his first bomb of the season and he totaled 3 RBI.
Nick Hagadone picked up the win in relief.
He went 1 1/3 of an inning, gave up two hits,walked two and K'd two.
Jerry Gil
got the save by going three solid innings.

Matt Langwell
1-0 starts for the Clippers tonight.He has been in two games this seasons both in relief. Kluber was slated to start tonight, but he has been called up to Cleveland for a spot start.
Armando Galarraga
1-0 starts for the Bats. The once promising major league prospect stands at 1-0 on the season, with a 1.80 ERA.
Adam Abraham will start for Columbus at third and he is my young gun player of the day to keep an eye on.
Selected by the Cleveland Indians in the 13th round of the 2008 First-Year Player Draft out of the University of Michigan.

Matt Langwell went three shutout innings, allowing two-hits.He walked zero and K'd three.
Cippers lead,3-0.
Hermida, Abraham have RBI's.
Billy Hamilton had a error for Louisville that allowed the third Clipper run.
Scott Barnes is on the hill for Columbus now.
He really needs a good showing.

Barnes with two shutout innings allowing one hit, while getting one K.
Matt Capps is on the hill now for Columbus.
So far this season he has been in two games allowing zero runs, in two innings of work.

Juan Diaz burns Billy Hamilton and the Clippers get two more runs and now lead,5-0 bottom of eight.
Bryan Price, who was just added to the Columbus roster today is on the throw the eighth inning.
He pitched for Columbus for a minute in 2012.
13 games all out of the pen.
6.63 ERA.

He recorded two outs
He gets yanked and the closer of the future Preston Guilmet is on with the bases juiced and two outs in the 8th

uilmet uses a nasty breaking pitch to get out of the inning with zero runs scored.

Adam Abraham, who plays 1st, 3rd, OF and catcher makes a great play in the ninth to help preserve the Clippers shutout.
