Some teams think that since Arron Rodgers came off IR and did not get hurt in last weeks game he needs to be released instead off being put on season ending IR. Which is the NFL rules but as some have said this time of year players with a broken fingernail can be put on IR.
If the Packers would be forced to release Rodgers the Browns with their new GM who drafted Rodgers would get the first shot at Rodgers. I don't think that Christmas wish comes true for the Browns.

I'm sure a smart team like the Packers would not make a huge mistake like that. Now if it were the Browns......

The NFL says it will not enforce the rule that the Packers would have to release Rodgers. Why have a rule that you will not enforce? They could have easily done the same thing on the Bengals trade of McCarron to the Browns.
