I don't get on here as much as I used to but I do know we have hockey fans on this site.

Roughly 25 regular season games left for all the NHL teams before the most exciting North American professional sports tourney, The Stanley Cup, begins.

My personal favorite, the Penguins, are 13-4-1 since the first of the year and are sitting in their customary 2nd place in the divison behind the Crapitals. Pens appear to getting things in order to make a serious run at their 3rd straight Stanley Cup.

Las Vegas continues to take full advantage of a very generious expansion draft and appear to be front runners in the Western Conference.

Lets hear from some hockey fans and how you are feeling about your teams chances for a run at The Cup.

As Always,

Pens defeat the Leafs 3-1 and the Blue Jackets 5-2 on back to back nights to take first place in the Metropolitan division.

Pens are a league best 16-4-1 since Jan 1st.

Pens travel to Carolina and Florida for another set of back to back games on Friday and Saturday.

Possible but unlikely. The Eastern conference is stacked this year with Tampa, Boston and I would dare say a good Toronto team.

Of course, I wouldn't be surprised to see a round 1 matchup vs the Crapitals for the Pens.

The Eastern teams may be out of gas in the Finals when they meet up vs Vegas or Smashville from the West.

The NHL has a ton of back to back games this year, Pens just finished 3 games in 4 days vs Columbus Saturday and are off until Friday. I would think the schedule would be more player friendly like the NBA where the players are constantly complaining about travel and games being scheduled to closely together. The NBA players should try playing a harder sport like hockey. Ol LeBron has yet to play a full season schedule to date.

They agreed to the 5 day break in the middle of the season thus the reason for back to back gamesI don't watch basketball NBA or college so I don't have a clue on that I do know who LeBron is though saw him play high school ball

The end of the season is fast approaching and teams are positioning themselves for a Cup run.

Pens 5 Jackets 4 OT

Pens pickup 2 points and the Jackets 1 point which will get Columbus into the playoffs.

Pens end the season at home tonight vs Ottawa and a Pens win will give Pittsburgh home ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

Let the Stanley Cup begin!

Pens earn a round 1 playoff matchup vs the Filtydelphia Flyers as we have home ice in this series.

Pens won all 4 games in the season series vs the Flyers by scoring 5 goals in every game.

I expect this series to be a hard hitting affair and I think it will go 6 games with the Pens winning 4-2.

Game 1 Wednesday in the Burgh.

Glad to see Wilson suspended...worst cheap shot artist since Claude Lemieux of Colorado!

Lightning jumped on Boston and held on 4-1...up 2-1 in series.

Conference finals.

Washington vs Tampa Bay.

Capitals gave the Pens their walking papers and got past the Pens for the first time in their 10th try.

Tampa looks tough and handled Boston without too many issues other than Marchand. LOL.

Going into this series, I thought Tampa in 6 and they might win the series but the Caps went down to Tampa and now lead it 2-0. If the Bolts win it will be in 7 but I don't think that will happen. Now that the Caps got past the Pens they look like they are on a mission. Caps win this series 4-1 in an upset. Ovechkin gets a chance to play in a Cup Final.

Vegas vs Winnipeg.

Going into this I thought the Jets didn't stand a chance and could get swept. However, they took the first game at home and lead the series 1-0.

This is only the 2nd time in the past 7 years that the Jets even made the playoffs. For them to win this vs the Knights would be a major upset even though the Jets had the better regular season record.

This one should go 7 games and I am rooting for the Jets.
