Peake I am hearing some talk that AJ Williams might actually be moved to o line because of his size, others are saying he has uncanny athletic ability for a guy that big. I think if we land the 5 or 6 o linemen that Hoke wants he will remain a TE, if not, he may end up as Lewans heir apparent at LT. Either way this is a great pickup for UM. Oh and by the way I was dead wrong about Christian, he landed at Pitt.

Paladan,

Couple days late buddy, I posted this 5 days before lol.

I don't know about getting a look at DB. Kid has been a WR his entire career and is not a fluid athlete in terms of his and feet. Has straight line speed and I think you are right, KR/PR seems to be his nitch.

91,

No big deal. I talk to Bob Lichtenfels, who is basically his PR guy from scout (and a big reason imo he was rated so high), and he told me he was headed back home. He has a couple teammates at Pitt as well.

I agree on Williams, watch Ron Thompson, TE from Detroit Southeastern, if he commits like he is expected to, then we will see Williams move I bet.

Froggy,

NO problem my friend.

Chieftans,

Runningbacks? In terms of recruiting or current? I know Michigan is in it for a couple big timers, but they are stretches to say the least. They are in the top 10 for Marshall, #1 RB in the country. Marshall is from Raleigh, NC and after talking to his coach at the last coaches clinic it was a Georgia-Alabama fight, with Miami getting into it.

Current---I think people are a little excited about Mike Cox. He has a nice spring game, but he always has a good spring game and when it comes time to compete in the fall he can't seem to hold onto the football. Hopkins has been the most consistent of them all. Toussiant has the most upside but so far has been a big flop. The guy to keep an eye on is Thomas Rawls, he will get snaps as a true freshmen, reminds me of Ingrham of Alabama.

I saw Williamson play at Harding. Good player and also played at DB. But he was a surprise signee with Mich. I had him rated as a low D-I player.... MAC, CUSA, etc. He'll end up playing somewhere as he still has 4 years to play. Maybe YSU.

TO be honest I was a recruting coordinator at the time and he didn't even catch the attention of Marshall. I think he has the speed at the high school level just to run past people, but not really a good football player.

Anyways, big news....Joe Bolden, 4-star LB from Cin. Colerain verbaled to UM today. Michigan now has 3 4-star linebackers and two of the top LB's from Ohio. I believe Michigan will take one more LB in this class and he is in the bag imo at this point. This class has the workings so far to be a top 5 class. Michigan also leads for Jordan Diamond, big time OT out of Chicago. Michigan is doing work in Cincy this year.

Just got done watching "Big Ten's Greatest Games" on BIG-10 network with the OSU-MICH 1969 game when the Bucks had the 22 game unbeaten streak snapped by Bo's first Michigan team with Dan Dierdorf, Glenn Doughty, Thom Darden, Jim Mandich and company. Woody was left speechless after that game. Final: MICHIGAN 24 - OSU 12

(Bill Flemming was the ABC announcer that day, a Michigan native and grad I might add. I think the college football announcer's back then did a lot better job than these guys today. Flemming, Chris Schenkel, Lindsey Nelson, Jim McKay, Keith Jackson, Curt Gowdy and Charlie Jones were very good at their craft back in those days). I believe most of them passed away in the mid-2000's with only Jackson still alive. I miss those guys along with Dave Diles (Middleport, Oh native) who used to do the "College Football Scoreboard" every Saturday afternoon).

The Bucks started off losing the first 13 games, so we've drawn even back to 1919, and are working our way through Michigan's massive head start now!

MIchigan picked up a commit today from James Ross of Orchard Lake St. Marys. He is the guy that has been in the bag for a long time. He is the #1 player in the state of Michigan and #2 LB in the country. Michigan now has 4 LB commits, all of whom are 4-stars.

Michigan may end up with the #1 class imo. I know there is a long way to go but Michigan currently leads for Jordan Diamond (4-star OT OSU offer), Terry Richardson (4-star DB OSU Offer), and Chris Wormley (4-star DE OSU Offer).

Most important is that Michigan has recommitted to recruiting defense. I get more excited about this coaching staff every day. :-D

I have to wonder who serves the longer suspension, Stonum from Michigan for his 2nd alcohol related issue, or Floyd from ND for his 3rd?

Or I suppose in fairness, if either will see the field before Tressel coaches again?

I tend to agree that none of the RB's are game changers and it will probably be a by committee approach looking for the "hot hand". I think Shaw could be real good if he manages to stay healthy.

Tom VanHaaren interviewed Dunn after his visit, overall Dunn was impressed with Michigan but wanted to stress that he was committed to osu. VanHaaren also stated in his article that there were several questions that Dunn did not answer or requested that his answers not be made public. I don't know for sure what that means but would imagine that Dunn is waiting to see what happens with the ncaa investigation before making a decision.
