The American Est Conference kicked off my Saturday college basketball day with Vermont (22-5, 14-1 Conf) shaking off a slow start that saw them locked up at ten with the Retrievers (13-13, 8-7 Conf) to easily win by twenty-seven. Hitting twelve three-pointers was a big reason for the easy win along with hitting 54.1% of all of their shots from the field. Ryan Davis (Schaumburg, IL) went over the 1,000 point bar in this one as he totaled 18 points to go along with 4 boards and 4 assists for the winners. Aaron Deloney (Portland, OR) came off of the bench to lead Vermont with 20 points. Ben Shungu (South Burlington, VT) contributed to the win with 16 points, 3 boards, and 3 assists. UMBC was led by Keondre Kennedy (Atlanta, GA) 14 points and 4 boards.
