Wisconsin comes to old Columbus towne to battle the Buckeyes in the Big 10 Conference opener for both schools.. The game will be a 7:30 kick that will be televised on ABC.
State finally put everything together this past Saturday with a 77-21 rout of Toledo.
Wisconsin rebounded from their 17-14 home loss to Wazzou by walloping hapless New Mexico State 66-7.
The Badgers feature a strong running game with Braelon Allen rumbling behind a stout offensive line. Wisconsin QB Graham Mertz is a game manager who can excel in the short passing game.
Their defense is big corn-feds in their front 7. Head Coach Paul Chryst's game plan will be ball control to keep the game close and win late with a turnover or the kicking game. Tresselball in a nutshell.
Ohio State's task will be to take advantage of every red zone scoring opportunity to force Wisconsin away from their game plan. That and the Buckeye defense will have to match the Badger physicality and not allow them to extend drives via penalty.
Honestly Wisky presents the biggest challenge to date for OSU, but I see the Bucks pulling away late for a 31-17 win.
What say you?

Run the football first to Open up your star studded room of NFL WRs. Keep playing hard nosed defense. And I like our chances against anyone.

Full disclosure, I was only able to watch the last ten minutes of the game so I would have to assume State's performance was as dominate as the 52-21 victory over Wisconsin would indicate.
OSU amassed 539 total yards on the night. 281 through the air and 258 rushing.
QB CJ Stroud was 17 of 27 for 281 yards with 5 touchdowns against one interception.
Henderson and Williams each rushed for over 100 yards for the Bucks.
Wisconsin managed 294 yards in offense with 192 of those on the ground. Badger star RB Braelon Allen showed his worth with 165 yard on 23 carries that included a 75 yard touchdown midway through the 4th quarter.
OSU improves to 4-0 overall and 1-0 in conference play. Next up for State is Rutgers, who lost today to Iowa 27-10

Other than the late TD by the Badgers, I thought the Buckeyes played very well.
