So LSU pulled the trigger and fired Les Miles
So what is next for mad hatter? Will he get hired right away? Or end of the season
Les Miles Fired!!!
Re: Les Miles Fired!!!
He can recruit great talent except at the QB position. At times they play down to completion. A good bit of his games came down to the last play or less than 1 minute. Sometimes it was his bad call that may have cost them the game. Just to many boosters at LSU who have wanted to get rid of him. To fire him after a game if the final snap would have been 1/2 second earlier LSU would have won.
Re: Les Miles Fired!!!
Miles is 62, so I doubt a major program would take a chance on him despite his overall solid career record. He would be great at a MAC school (OU?) for a few years before riding off into the sunset.Valenth wrote:I think he will have no problem getting hired somewhere else
I find the hiring of Ed Orgenon as LSU interim coach as almost being preplanned. Usually a mid season interim hire goes to an assistant already on staff for continuity.

Miles won't go to a MAC school. He will get hired at the end of the year by a big time program. I don't see him in the B1G but it wouldn't surprise me to see him go to ND if Kelley loses another game.

I'm surprised it took them this long, but I think the writing has been on the wall for awhile.
Not surprising though it came after a loss like that. I think he sits the rest of the regular season before pursuing anything.
