I did not say move back. Good Luck, only time will tell.
Re: Time For Marshall Football Coach To Resign
No, I dont want to compare Snyder to Rodriguez. First off, Snyder has class, Rodriguez has none.
Next up, Rodriguez was hired at Michigan. A top 5 all time program. A program that plays in January bowls, not early December.
Rodriguez was hired at a Top 5 all time program that played in a January Bowl last year. Rodriguez' biggest regular season games have been coached against the likes of Louisville, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh. Most times those "big games" were played on thursday nights. Michigan, Ohio State, Florida, etc. They dont play big games on Thursday night.
Those "big games Rodriguez coached in? Louisville, Pittsburgh, South Florida? Those are pre season games for big time programs.
I was just pointing out how ridiculous it was for Michigan to hire a second tier coach

Re: Time For Marshall Football Coach To Resign
Well you made a great point. I mean why in the he!! would the hire a man who coaches at a second tier place like Miami, OH? Oh that's right his name was Bo. Why in the world would the hire a man who has never coached a big program? I mean Lloyd Carr only won a National Title, but I mean he didn't even coach at the second tier level. Geesh, maybe next time they can go after a high school coach, since they probably have more experience than say RRod. How about OSU going after a 1-AA coach. I mean he prepaired for the likes of G. Southern, Wafford, VMI on a daily basis.
Yes RRod was hired at Michigan. A top 5 program. Right now, Michigan is a program with top probably 70 talent and experience.

Re: Time For Marshall Football Coach To Resign
Alot of folks are wanting and thinking this is the same Marshall that we got used to in the late 90's and early 2000's. The talent just isn't at Marshall like there was a few years back. There is no Pennington, Moss, Chapman, Leftwich. Not to mention that Marshall was in the MAC then also. I'd give Synder another year or so and if no improvement then they should move on.
Re: Time For Marshall Football Coach To Resign
Oh now i get it. Michigan is in the shape they were in 1968 when they hired Bo? Not hardly. Michigan lost 18 regular season games in 4 years prior to hiring Schembechler. Lloyd Carr never coached a season when he did not play in a January Bowl. Kinda doubt the almighty Rodriguez will make that this year. However to be fair, in his historic coaching career, he has coached in one January Bowl game.
Nice to see you brought out that Michigan was copying OSU's hiring of a 1AA coach. That's a good point you made. Maybe that is why they hired a former Buckeye assistant in 1968, in Schembechler, and a former Buckeye in Moeller to replace Bo.
I guess time will tell on Snyder and Rodriguez. As far as I am concerned, I hope Rodriguez stays at UM for a long long time.

Re: Time For Marshall Football Coach To Resign
Oh my goodness, for pete's sake the Buckeye's don't want him back.........He is terrible.........he'll end up being a small time coach somewhere in D-III................

Re: Time For Marshall Football Coach To Resign
Michigan, on a talent scale is far worse than they were in 1968. Bo talked about how he coudln't believe that team only won 3 games and how they underachieved. BTW, Lloyd Carr did coach a team that qent 7-5 in 2005 that played in December in the Alamo Bowl against Nebraska.
I will break it down for you like this.
QB- Michigan returned 3 QB's with 0 starts.
RB- Michigan returned 3 players all with starts.
WR- Matthews only starter back. Hemingway lettered as a frosh, Clemons rfrosh, Babb rfrosh, Stonum frosh, Odoms frosh 0 experience.
TE- Carson Butler is now a DE, Kevin Koger(frosh) is the starter with 0 experience
OL-Michigan returned 1 starter.
This is what the lineup looks like:
QB- 6 carrer starts RFrosh
RB-True frosh
WR-Mathews returning starter
WR-Stonum-True frosh
Slot- True frosh
TE- true frosh
OT-0 starts coming into season
OG-ditto
OC-Ditto
OG-ditto
OT-returning starter
Michigan hasn't seen inexperience like this in who knows how long.

Peake just give up, you have explain this over a dozen times now and some people still don't get and it and never will. We will see whose laughing when all the frosh get to know the system better.
Plus if the people whose not watch Michigan this year and just looking at the final score. Let me point this out, Michigan has been in every game they have play this year. And could easy be....say 5-1. Yes we lost big to Ill. ND, and Penn but the score didn't relect how we played in the game. We played with Ill and Penn for the frist half, second half showed how young we really are. And the ND game we just gave them that game with the turnovers.

When you run your experienced starters off, like RR did, you get young lineups. It's Michigan man, How's 4-8 sound?

Re: Time For Marshall Football Coach To Resign
Who are you talking about RR ran off. If you are talking about the Lineman can't even remember his name that left for OSU, I say the kid couldn't handle the practice. Plus we don't need someone like that in the system if they are not 100% in to it.
Re: Time For Marshall Football Coach To Resign
Cant remember his name? How about his daddy's name? Didnt he play for UM as well? You bring out one more reason why RR stinks. he just turns his head on all UM traditions. Maybhe he will change the helmets next year?

Re: Time For Marshall Football Coach To Resign
If your talking about Ryan Mallett (don't know if the spelling is right), he left on his own. RR did try to talk Ryan into staying but his daddy wanted him out, and into a more pro style of playing. But RR didn't run off Mallett.
Re: Time For Marshall Football Coach To Resign
Two players left, that is it. RRod talked to them, talked to Mallett on more than one occassion, and even Lloyd Carr sat both of them down and said you are making mistakes. It is what it is. He didn't run off Greg Matthews or Steve Schilling. Denies tradition??? What are you even talking about? He has not done anything any different. Wow. Keep reaching!
Re: Time For Marshall Football Coach To Resign
Making a mistake? I doubt either one of them would call leaving a Univerisity, who's football program is in shambles, a mistake. Good luck with RR. If it gets too bad, I hear Sonny Randall is looking for work.
Re: Time For Marshall Football Coach To Resign
Are you close to the program? Do you know anyone who is close to the program? You read the papers and than specualte what you think is right just like everyother uneducated fan. First mistake they made is passing on a free Michigan education. Sorry but OSU and Arkansas are not in the same league.
Re: Time For Marshall Football Coach To Resign
Very true. Michigan is a heck of an education. So is Northwestern. Hope your happy being.....Northwestern.
Back on topic. Big win for Snyder tonight. Back to 4-4. I know a few bigtime D1 programs that would like to be 4-4 right now.

Re: Time For Marshall Football Coach To Resign
Did anyone see the kid hit his knee of the band carts in the endzone? Wow, that was ugly!
Re: Time For Marshall Football Coach To Resign
Have to say it reminded me of Tim Krumrie in the Super Bowl way back when. Any idea why the carts were back there? Very ugly situation and sad for the player.
