OSU vs Cincy..who would win?
Re: OSU vs Cincy..who would win?
UC == generic system team that pops up and is all the rave among casual observers almost every single season.
System teams are totally thrown off when the other team is able to get pressure. I'd love to see them block Heyward and Gibson all night.
All I heard last season was how any of Texas, TTech, and OU would destroy, not beat, but destroy OSU. LOL. Texas Tech LOL LOL LOL.
Cincinnati ====== less explosive and less talented TTech.
Cincinnati ====== very poor man's Texas.
Wonder who Colt McCoy would pick to win between UC and OSU.

Re: OSU vs Cincy..who would win?
Seems like OSU fans have no respect for Cinncy, I really do believe that Cinncy would play with or beat OSU. To bad we (as fans) couldn't get that game as a bowl game rather than the traditional Big Ten vs Pac 10.
If Cinncy wins out, which they should, and gave a good showing in the there bowl game could we possible get a split National title this year?

I'm a bucks fan an I give respect to Cincy there a good team, defense will be much better next year but I do believe they loose Gilyard but they did find a nice QB too after Pike leaves.

No. UC, like Boise State, must play big non-conference games. The Big East doesn't have a PSU, Iowa, Alabama, LSU, Oregon, or USC. Oregon State and Illinois don't cut it as your marquee games. Oregon State is highly thought of because they have been a thorn in USC's side, but all teams have certain teams that give them fits every year. Oregon State is like Michigan State.
Try playing Oklahoma, errrrrr.. nevermind, they did last year. Not pretty. Try playing Virginia Te....err...ok.
Let's put it this way... what about OSU's defense makes you think UC scores more than 21-24 points? Is it because UC scored 28 on Syracuse last week, with 7 of those coming on botched FG that should have been penalized? Penn State scored 28 offensive points on Cuse. Is it the close game UC had with Fresno State? You know, the Fresno State that Wisconsin also beat in a close game, with similar scoring.
Alright, now, after seeing OSU score 24 on PSU in Happy Valley, and Uconn score 45 on UC, what makes you think OSU doesn't ring 30+ at least on UC? You do realize that UC would get the "focused" treatment from OSU now, right?

Yep. Though, it's being said that JT will have every Junior test his draft status. Also, any Junior projected in the 1st round, maybe the 2nd, will go.... except for Cam Heyward <---- He has a serious girlfriend at OSU who runs his life apparently

Remember though, that JT has EVERY junior that has a chance in the NFL test his draft status.
They all file the paper work that would give them an evaluation without hurting their
eligability.

If they would have played earlier in the season, UC would have won but, not now.

What does history have to do with the two teams playing THIS YEAR. Also OSU plays teams like Youngstown St and other MAC schools why not start some NEW rivalry and play Cinncy JMO.

They have played Cincy in the past & they play them again in 2012.

The Scout "insider" is saying that Cam is for sure coming back, and is the guy trying to convince others to come back next year. I hope he's right.
I've heard Gibson is gone no matter what, but maybe Cam can do some convincing.

I may be a buckeye fan in football but cincy is by far the better team and the record proves it. I'd take tony pike and uc by at least 14 points

history has nothing to do with who would win the game this year.... stupid argument on the osu homers part.
dont care if youve went undefeated 25 straight years that has nothing to do with who would win this year

Ummm.. I don't see anyone arguing that history would impact this year's game at all. The historical argument is in response to those saying OSU should start a rivalry with UC.

There was a letter in the Cols Dispatch a couple of weeks ago wondering why UC didnt get more ink in the paper. I guess he forgot that they print papers in Cincinnati, and tOSU is god in most parts of the rest of Ohio. I wonder how much priority the Cincinnati Enquirer gives the Bucks week in and out.
No way to prove it, but I seriously doubt if UC played a schedule this year that included Navy, USC, Wisconsin, Penn State, Iowa, OSU etc that they would be undefeated either...possibly fighting for bowl eligibility.
r u saying navy, usc, wisc, psu, iowa is tougher schedule than ostate, ru, usf, wv and pitt
trying to use tradition as an argument of conference superiorty for this year or any particular year doesnt work

Iowa or Pitt - push
USC or Oregon St. - USC (happened in real life)
PSU or USF - PSU
Wisc or WVU -Wisconsin
Navy or RU - Navy (Rutgers does not beat ND)
This isn't historical. The Big Ten has 4 teams in the top 15. OSU beat all of the other three.
May I see the top 15 teams UC has beaten?

the big 10 has 4 teams in top 16 but....... the big east has 2 teams ahead of all big 10 teams
Re: OSU vs Cincy..who would win?
OSU, anyone see the game Friday night???? WVU is horrible in terms of top 25. Cincinnati gives up huge yardage on the ground especially up the middle against even a descent team with mediocre backs and a good line. Offensively they are better than OSU but haven't seen a good defense yet this year. And yes USC, PSU, Wisc, and Iowa are much better than any combination of schedule played by UC. It does suck that all the hype that followed Pryor and UC has 2 better QBs than him and a much better offensive gameplan.
