OHIO STATE-WISCONSIN/BIG TEN OPENER
Re: OHIO STATE-WISCONSIN/BIG TEN OPENER
Wow didn't know that about Bryant! They will miss his leadership and experience although he was still making some boneheaded plays this year.

Haven't watched the tv broadcast, I was at the game, with a great view to see Abberderus run routes.
To say that we squeaked by, that game was never in question.
The score ended at a TD lead, but was never close after the last second 1st half TD.
There isn't another team on the schedule that requires a stacked box.
Roby was left on an island, against a very disciplined route runner.
Wisconsin averages over 320 yards rushing per game.
They got 104!

We couldn't ask for a better performance against the run. The d line did great and shazier and grant swarmed the field. They played excellent.
As you said, in Robys defense he was marched 1 on 1 all night against one of the most disciplined route runners in the country and a player has been known for big plays, especially against the buckeyes. But as all American corner you have to come up big every now and then. Abbrederis pretty well owned that battle all night. They could have called holding on roby a dozen times last night if they wanted.
It was great to see the front 7 step up to the challenge. As mentioned, we won't see this type of run threat the rest of the way until a bowl game and that will take pressure off of the Db's.
For the most part I felt osu controlled the entire game. Wisconsin hung around but the score was closer than the game actually was. Wisconsin has a solid team. There's prob not another team in the B1G that I think shuts them down or even beats them. I felt we got pretty conservative in the 4th but came out with a win and that's all that matters. Funny thing is mark may picked Wisconsin, but when osu won he said they didn't win by enough lol
How was that atmosphere dubs? I bet the place was rockin!

And Cameron Johnston, the punter. That kid has been spectacular so far. Not allowing hardly anything on returns and pinning teams deep. He's a field position weapon. Tressel woulda loved this guy lol
Re: OHIO STATE-WISCONSIN/BIG TEN OPENER
LOL that was Tressel's favorite play! OK Dubs I got a little carried away it wasn't really a "barely squeaker" game, but it was still closer then I thought it would be at home, the run defense was outstanding but that pass defense has got to tighten up,next week should be interesting and hope its not that game that always haunts them from years past

Still, Roby's draft stock took a hit. Bucks win and advance.

Roby gave up 1 TD, and got 1 int.
He got beat for some big gains too.
I don't think he was 100% effective after he got hurt, but also some of the long gains were when Roby was covering the shallow zone, and the safety help was sucked in on play action while Abberderis ran great routes.

Re: OHIO STATE-WISCONSIN/BIG TEN OPENER
Very happy with the Buckeyes win........Great job by the defense, stuffing the Badgers' running game........it forced Wisconsin to take to the air, which they did quite well, but as I told some people, OSU wasn't going to completely shut down everything UW did. Coach Meyer's game plan worked, and I'm glad that the coaching staff pretty much stuck to their plan throughout the game.
Braxton Miller looked really good, with 4 TD passes, but didn't look quite as mobile as before the injury. Still, he made good decisions with the football. I just wish the Buckeyes could have gotten a first down when Wisconsin burned all their timeouts. We wouldn't have had to punt the ball back to the Badgers.
I'll take a win anytime, anyway, and what Oregon did to Cal doesn't register that much with me........I learned long ago not to trust comparative scores.
