Marshall beats SMU today 34-27 and improves to 3-1 (2-0) . No one thought they would be where they are right now and I am one of them. Next week they play WV . Anyone bleive Marshall can keep it close. WV is coming off of two tuff loses and this is the game the need to rebound if they are going to.
What's everyones thoughts on this game.

GO HERD!!! Oh and they beat Southern Miss, not SMU (yes, i know they can be abbreviated the same).. MARSHALL'S GONNA GIVE WVwho A RUN FOR THEIR MONEY!! THIS IS THE YEAR TO DO IT!

My bad after i posted that i thought i should change it but oh well.

IF Marshall is ever going to beat WV I think it will be this year. This WV team is not playing very well at all, no passing game against Colo. I think if Marshall can slow down Pat White they win this game.

Let's just hope, Marshall need's this! It's their first good start since they began Conf.USA play.. After beating one of the top Conf.USA teams, morale has to be high! I agree, basically WVU is lookin lost without Slaton (dont get me wrong, devine is awsome) and there is too much weight on Whites shoulders.. If Marshall can keep everyone healthy during the game, i think we'll have to many weapons, as if it's ours to lose!

Would love to see Marshall win this one. That would be a huge win and a huge confidence builder.

This just backs what I said earlier on another thread: NO ONE HAD ANY IDEA WHAT MARSHALL WAS GOING TO DO OR WHAT THEY WERE CAPABLE OF DOING. A lot of people are eating crow now.
Phil Steele, who's supposedly the most accurate preview magazine out there picked them to attain bowl eligibility this year so personally I'm not surprised.

If everyone read my post on the thread "Marshall picked to finish 0-11!!!!" I picked them to have a winning season and what teams I felt they would win. There are a few people eating crow on here for laughing at the thought they would be 3-1. The so called "gurus" on here picked them to be 1-3 and you know who you are!!!

Roll on, Blundering Turd!! (That's what they were referred to in the '80's). Give Snyder a chance, he was left with an absolute mess after Pruett fiasco. Bobby set 'em back 5 years, not leading them to the future.

Still have 8 games, and they only need to lose 5 to not have a winning season. I still have faith in the turd.

I'm taking Marshall over WVU by 10.5 points, WVU just doesn't look like that good of a team so far.

didnt marshall go to wvu with one of their best teams ever back in the late 90's and wvu was a 500 team that year? if i remember right pennington/moss and pruett were sent back to huntington with their tails between their legs.
expect more of the same this year.

Yea that one hurt us, especially when we were up 3 possession in the 4th qtr.. oh and NO, lets not expect the same! lol
