This Big Ten battle was close throughout with Minnesota earning their third conference victory (12-10, 3-10 Conf) over a hard-luck Penn State (9-12, 4-9 Conf) squad. Eric Curry (Memphis, TN) broke out of his slump to lead Minnesota with 22 points. Payton Willis (Fayetteville, AR) had a sweet game for the Gophers 18 points, 10 assists, and 6 boards. Sam Sessoms (Philadelphia, PA) came off of the bench to lead Penn State with 18 points, 5 boards, 3 assists, and 2 steals.
