The Tigers (4-4 led early only to trail by one at the half. From there Hope (6-2) out-hustled Wittenburg to 90% of every loose ball allowing for an avalanche of second-chance points. Another big advantage for the winners was the 21-7 advantage at the free-throw line. Gabe Quillan (Grand Rapids Catholic Central) paced the winners with 23 points and 13 rebounds. Clayton Dykhouse (Zeeland East) chipped in with 16 points. For the Tigers, Jerry Saunders Jr. (Pickerington North) came off of the bench to score 19 points. Hope won the battle of the boards 36-26.
