Does anyone have info on Allan Wasonga RB out of Parkersburg
I have seen Wasonga play about 10 time and he is a very good back. I know when he was at Point he had around 1600 yards and I dont remember how many touchdowns. Then he went to Parkersburg a much bigger school and had around 1700 yards and a guess at about 25 touchdowns. Last I heard Allan had 15 D-1 school looking at him, with WV being the top runner for Allan.

Not sure WVU is frontrunner or not. From what I hear his dad is looking for "better" offers...

Should have been GOG POY last year but should be a shoe in this year if healthy. No other back or player in the area is on his level nor were they last year!

Allen was the best RB in this area as a soph. His only down fall is that he is 5'8, but the kid weighs 220 and runs a 4.3 forty. I would like to see him go to a Big East school. I think WVU would be a great fit for Allan because he plays alot like Noel Divine.

I just read about Allan top 5 schools and they list not in order WVU, Pitt, Marshall, Michigan, and The Ohio State U. Dont know why Marshall is in his top 5 because i dont think he will go there.

Last time I talked to him at GNC in Gallipolis he told me he was up to 220, that has been awhile ago. The forty time might be more accurate at 4.50 mine was just a shot in the dark. Either way if he stays healthy he will be a good pick up for alot a D-1 schools.

Rebels,
The probable reason he lists Marshall in his top five is because his brother plays there. He is a walk-on I believe. However, I do believe that if he can continue to progress, more big schools will come knocking. I remember last year when he was suspended for the first half against Huntington High, and still rushed for 235 yards in a quarter and a half. He is a good player, I watched him play when he was still at Point Pleasant against South Point a couple of years ago.

I remember when he was still at Point and they played Poca and he had like 240 and 5 touchdowns by half, two of them kick returns.

Maybe more quick than fast? And views the whole field.

Talked to his brother at the Gallia County fair it was just a rumor.
Re: Does anyone have info on Allan Wasonga RB out of Parkers
As a junior, Wasonga ran for 2,204 yards and 29 touchdowns. He was named 1st team All-State and All-Conference. He was also named the Gatorade Player of the Year in West Virginia. (from scout.com)
Best running back I have ever seen play against Marietta in my playing coaching career (20+ years) and that includes Derek Combs from Grove City and later Ohio State. Tremendous balance and vision, has top notch quickness and is fast enough to get the job done at the DI level. Not Noel Divine speed, but more than enough. Also has the power to run over people and when people go low on him, he has the athleticism to jump them and keep running. I was most impressed with his field vision and his ability to see a seam and hit no matter where it was on the field. I am very curious to see where he ends up and hope he has a productive career in college.

Does anyone know Parkersburg's schedule?
Re: Does anyone have info on Allan Wasonga RB out of Parkers
I heard this again over the weekend but it was more eligibility issues. However he is listed on 2010 Parkersburg roster and in Pburg newspaper.Rebels on 3 wrote:Just heard yesterday Allan was kicked off the team for the entire season, I just heard it through the grape vines so dont know how true it is.
He didn't play because of injury.
