Southern Ohio Magic basketball league will be holding sign-ups/tryouts for boys and girls on Sunday, January 13, 2008 at Vern Riffe School, 2619 Gallia Street, Portsmouth, Ohio from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for 8u thru 12u only. You can visit our website at http://www.southernohiomagic.org.

I have a 9 year old who won't be 10 until August 08. Is there a team for her? Is this for the summer?

Southern Ohio Magic is trying to fill teams from 8u thru 16u. Bring your daughter for sign-ups/tryouts. We will also be taking applications for coaches.

Southern Ohio Magic is trying to accommodate all interested/committed players; however, if there are not enough coaches for teams we will be forced to hold tryouts. SO Magic will travel to Columbus, Cincinnati, Chillicothe, Athens, WV, KY, etc.

Thank you. Yes, 8u thru 16u, boys and girls. Sign-ups on 01-13-08 are for the 8u thru 12u only. The older teams will get started after their season ends. You can email me the details of your tournament at mjust@southernohiomagic.org and I will get it to the coaches.

Southern Ohio Magic is holding sign-ups for boys and girls for 8u and up on Sunday, February 3, 2008 at the Vern Riffe School, 2619 Gallia Street, Portsmouth, Ohio from 1:00 to 5:00. You can also visit our website at http://www.southernohiomagic.org for all updates.

We are also accepting coaches applications at time of sign-ups.

Southern Ohio Magic is holding registration from 1:00 to 5:00 at the Vern Riffe Center of the Arts (SHAWNEE STATE UNIVERSITY) on February 24, 2008. Coaches meeting at 1:00. Cut off date for registration for 8u thru 12u is March 2, 2008.

On Monday, March 3, 2008, Southern Ohio Magic will be holding open gym/tryouts for 9u thru 11u girls at Vern Riffe School, 2619 Gallia Street, Portsmouth, Ohio from 5:30 to 7:30. All 9u thru 11u girls coaches must attend the tryouts. Following the girls, the 5th and 6th grade boys tryouts will be held from 7:30 to 9:00. Again, all 5th and 6th grade boys coaches must attend.
