The Vinton County 7th grade boys finished the season today (Sat 2/23/08) by winning the championship game of the Trimble tournament.
They defeated
Trimble 45-35
Logan 51-41
Fed Hoc 56-48 to win the tournament.
This is a great bunch of kids that will make a lot of noise in the future on the hardwood.
Way to go guys!

I hope you will make it a point to watch some of these athletes during the spring track season. I'm looking forward to seeing the team's speed and athleticism on the track.

I had the opportunity to see this group play against Athens and Logan, have to say that I was extremely impressed. From what I saw they looked to be about 9 or 10 deep. Great team for VC in the future.

This team is deep. Two post players have not played for few years, but the Ousley kid played like a man against Fed Hoc.'s 6'4" kid. He played so intensely he got sick, but after the episode he went back in.
Great bunch of young men.
They're only gettin better!
