What's so wrong with joe strummer's advice? Those were in the rules of drafting when I was in youth coaching. First draft talent, second came quiet fathers and third was glm's (good lookin' moms).
TeeBall=fun times. I've heard theres a team in Ironton that would give the Lyle Motel/DMI teams of the early 70's a run for their money. I say it would be hard to top the 3 year undefeated streak we had.Talk about domination! I still get those trophys out every now and again.
Try to teach the proper way to throw and field. Make sure the kids have fun. Make sure you watch your team members at all times as they seem to love dirt at this age and will throw it from time to time. A bonus to watching them is you get to see all the funny little things kids do.
Raise the tee to chest-high. This will force your batters to upper-cut, sending many fly balls over the fielders, generating lots of runs which lead to W's. Of course, it will take the minor league coaches about two seasons to fix the kids' swing, but the T-ball parents will think you are the stud coach:)
