Portsmouth Junior High Boys Shoot-Out

The Portsmouth High School varsity boys basketball program will be hosting a junior high shoot-out Friday, July 22nd and Saturday, July 23. 7th and 8th grade teams from Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia are welcome. The shoot-out will consist of team pool play and a double elimination tournament on Saturday. Number of games guaranteed will be determined by the number of teams entered. We will be using three regulation size floors. All games will be officiated by OHSAA licensed referees.

Place: Portsmouth High School gym and auxilary gym
Cost: $100.00 before July 8th and $150.00 after July 8th.

It is sad there wasn't enough teams to have this shoot out. I would imagine Wheelersburg did not have any teams because the 11-12 and 13-14 baseball teams are both playing at the state tournament. A majority of the basketball kids are on one of these baseball teams.
