TNT has dumped Trust Me, a not-too-bad show about two advertising execs, dueta too-few viewers.

Hard for CW to cancel anything right now; they don't have any replacements!

Loox as if NBC has given Life the green weenie. Not a bad show, but it simply had too-few viewers.

However, they ARE bringing back Friday Night Lights.

There's a whole blort of shows cancelled now that the regular TV season is over. Thankfully there's lotsta do outside, and plentya sportzz channels & vidgames(as well as this computer) so we don't hafta be stuck with the nets' summer reality trash.

Now, to the cancellations: (Note: I'm trying not to repeat any previously-posted ones, but I'm not perfect. I might repeat one or omit one!)

FOX-

"Hole In The Wall" (Again!)
"Osbournes Reloaded"
"Prison Break"(Good show that ran its course)
"Secret Millionaire(Reality crap that shoulda never aired)
"Terminator:The Sarah Connor Chronicles"(Not bad-just couldn't attract enuff viewers)

The CW-

"Everybody Hates Chris"(Not a bad show; just was losing viewers)
"The Game"(not their worst show; a possible goof to cancel it)
"Privileged"(Poor show; won't be missed)
"Reaper"(Good show; another CW mistake to cancel it!)

The CW netlet is on the ropes. Because of their prog director, dawn ostroff, they mistakenly try to focus on the young adult female demo. There are just too many other shows on the big nets & too many local shows for any one net or netlet to capture the lion's share of this demo. If they don't replace Ostroff soon, this netlet's gonna be history!

NBC-

"Deal or No Deal"(Victim of over-exposure as "Millionaire" once was)
"Howie Do It"(Not Mr. Mandel's best show!)
"Kath & Kim"(Stunk; shoulda never aired)
"Late Night With Conan O'Brien(Conan is taking over "The Tonight Show")

NBC is another net in trouble, although not as bad off as the CW. And their stupidity in reviving the garbage of 'm A Celebrity-Get Me Outta Here, even for the summer, is an idea three fries short of a Happy Meal, not to mention their airing of one of the worst reality shows of all time, Momma's Boys. And their cancellation of Medium, which was swiftly picked up by CBS is beyond comprehension.

(Because of this pickup, I don't lest Medium as a cancellation!)

CBS-

"The Unit"
"Without A Trace"{Both it & "The Unit" are victims of a crime show-procedural show glut)
"Eleventh Hour"

On the plus side, CBS is picking up Medium, which NBC stupidly let go.

On the down side, they're bringing back Big Bruddah for the summer. thank goodness for more viewing options!

ABC-

"Cupid" (Thank God!)

This show flopped ten years ago, & those idiots tried to make it go again!! Talking about beating a dead horse! This'n was a skeleton!

I'm just glad I don't have any of those paragons of erudition who run ABC doing my taxes nor representing me in court!

S'm'other cancellations I mighta missed:

My Name Is Earl(NBC) Not a bad show, but more-n-more viewers were getting bored with it.

Samantha Who?(ABC) A funny show that just couldn't attract enuff viewers every week.

Boston Legal(ABC) Good show - also ran its course; viewers were moving on.

[i]ER
(NBC) Ran for 15 seasons; finally ran its course, was given a proper ending a great show deserves. Wasn't actually "cancelled, just ENDED.

King Of The Hill (FOX) ran for 12 seasons, fine animated show whose viewership was on the wane.

Prison Break (FOX) The quality of this show declined, along with viewer interest.

Kings (NBC) A good show that simply couldn't attract enough viewers.

In The Motherhood(ABC) That worst of shows, next to inane reality crap-AN UNFUNNY COMEDY! Stunk; shoulda never aired!

Sit Down, Shut Up!(FOX) a good concept, but poorly-done animated show that quickly flopped. R.I. P.

Well, here we are in the midst of summer TV, which brings us a whole blort of trashy reality shows, reruns of reruns, burnoffs of unaired eps of cancelled shows, & other inane garbage made to fill in the air time between sports shows. Thankfully, summertime is OUTDOORS time, so we're not depending quite as much on the TV for entertainment, since it's certainly lacking this tima year.

I'll do my best to keep ya posted on what TV shows are being consigned to TV hades soon as I find out. Hardly anything gets cancelled in summer, though.

NBC has cancelled The Listener, a show about a paramedic who has the ability to read the thoughts of other people. Had terrible ratings, even for summer.
