Are you festive?
How many decorate for the seasons and what do you do?

I decorate around the first of Sept. for fall pumpkins and scarecrows
I decorate for Christmas around Thanksgiving
I usually do two trees but I made changes in my kitchen and my gingerbread boys can't go up this year but my snowmen will be in and outside
I decorate for Spring with colors to brighten the yard
and then keep my RED WHITE AND BLUE decorations up from about May until the Beginning of Sept.

I usually hang flags out for each season right now though I have my breast cancer flag out and my John Deere one

I have corn stalks and pumpkins out...

Thanksgiving weekend the tree goes up, the outside lights get put up, the inside decorations are hauled out....then days later I am STILL working on the tree...Last year I put up the green one, then took it down, went and bought a white one.... I hated it but left it up... I have ornaments from our first Christmas, each of the girls first ornaments, their first pacifier and rattle also are on their every year. They are the ones that mean the most to me.... 3 days after Christmas...it all comes down cause I am SICK of it by then!!!


Nothing then til the flowers come up and do the decorating for me!!

The AMERICAN Flag stays up year round!!

Hey, you two women, weren't in a white truck, seen driving out of my corn field, with a bunch of corn stalks in the back are ya?? LOL My neighbor was telling me that they seen someone drive in our field at night and come out later with stalks in the back!!

So that is where my bottle collection went....Ok, I will I'll let ya have the corn stalks and the bottles....what's a few corn stalks and a few bottles between friends! Just watch my crazy neighbors who like to shoot deer up in my fields after dark!

To answer the question, no we do not decorate, except for Christmas and then only a day or two ahead of time.

Whats with all the scary pictures? I sure hope young kids arent looking at this particular thread.

I am not much of a Christmas person! I put up the tree a week before Christmas, and then take it down after New Years. My little gradndaughter wants us to decorate the big pine tree we have out in the front yard...So I would say we will do that. If I can find a small strand of lights that run off batteries, I want to decorate the lonely little pine tree sitting out in the middle of our hay field!!!

Im working on my Halloween decorations right now. I should have them up by Sunday. Its bigger, bloddier, and scarier than last year. I also decorate the yard for Christmas. I should have them up by Thanksgiving weekend.
