Deviated Septum Surgery

Post by kantuckyII »

I know Fido has had it but anyone else? gawl dang, I had it done this past Monday and today, it's still sore as could be and making me sick. They did do turbinate reduction as well so maybe that's a large contributor. Either way, I was totally caught off guard by how sore this made me and don't get my splints out till Tuesday either. Then, sleeping sitting up ain't a lot of fun either  I figured by Wednesday I'd feel just fine...the joke's on me here now :o

I had mine done and it's no picnic for sure. It took a few weeks to start feeling better. I had my uvula cut out at the same time. they wanted the tonsils but i passed. I felt like I had a few rounds with Tyson.

The hospital called just a few minutes ago to check on my progress. I repeated that I was completely caught off guard with how bad it is. She said, 'oh yeah, it can be very painful'

I made the mistake of going to eat last night. I paid for it yesterday evening with increased pain and nausea. :122246

Can't you just sit back and enjoy knowing I'm in pain?

Never hurt so bad in my life...That's two knee surgeries, broken collar bone, broken thumbs, separated shoulder, jaw realignments, blah, blah, blah..The dam nose surgery was hell of a lot worse than the actual fastball off the nose...bled like hell...

BTW, Moore and his family were awesome and were the first to check in on me at the hospital..Great guy...Don't know what happened to him but one good guy there.

I was at that game, Del Rice league, wasn't to pretty for sure

They are still living in Wheelersburg and his son Derek is a Sophomore and pitching for the high school team which is still undefeated on the season. Derek pitched the first perfect game ever recorded at the Burg last year while playing JV ball. 21 up and 21 down and I may be mistaken, but I think he struck out around half of those.

elbow in three places and wrist in two. I would rather have that then a baseball to the face.
Pop's can't get a little faint when he see's the blood of a spattered fly, let alone that.

I've taken a baseball to the face too but that wasn't what broke my nose. The baseball hit me above the eye. You could count the baseballs stiches right above my eyebrow for a week. My face was so sore there that I couldn't even brush or touch the hair on my eye brow. The eye was swollen shut as well.

My nose was broken in grade school against someone's knee wrestling. It hurt but...geesh, a few minutes later, it stopped..this? it's hurting more each day. Might be those 3.5 inch splints up there, huh?

I'm more than prepared. The thought of laying down again, flat on my back in my own bed is very enticing!

Britney Spears has this surgery several years ago (really) and the next time she made a public appearance she had much larger cans. Can we expect the same from you?

Why didn't you just PRAY about it, KY? Isn't that your perfect solution to everything?
And if it doesn't "work", and you still suffer, then that absolutely proves what a poor prayer or believer you are and how unworthy! Right? Isn't that what you're saying about all other beliefs - but yours is perfect?

I'll be getting a new body one day that will be perfect and let me tell you, that is something I'm for sure NOT worthy of! It's a gift of God through the grace of God by the shed blood of His Son on the cross through placing my faith in Jesus Christ. For now though, I'm walking around right now in a body of death
