RV loses 61-41.....wellston shot well at home.....RV dealt with lazy D and missed shots.....IMO

I can handle the missed "open" looks.....but the effort on d was terrible.....

Is this just going to be a long year for RV? Are there any good young players in the pipeline?

I am pretty sure they are young , as in a lot of freshman and sophomores getting big minutes on the varisty level. They show flashes of being a great defensive team, perfect example was the first quarter against Athens. But offensively they struggle , should get better as the season moves on , but a young team.
Another issue is a another new coach. I have watched them a couple times and really like the new coach. But I also know they have had a three or four coaches in 4 years. It's hard to start a winning program if there is some much turnover at the top.

I am pretty sure this is their third coach in 7 years. Alexander is thankful RV no longer has their coach from four seasons ago.

RV has had 6 coaches in the past ten years......Layton, Stout, Hill, Quinn, Peck and now Drummond....

Layton and Peck were the only two to reach the .500 mark.

6 coaches in 10 years. Ouch. I knew it was bad, but I didn't know it was that bad. No school is going to win consistently with that kind of coaching turnover.
