The crew let the game get very physcal. IMO, too physical at times. There were several times in which I thought Hauserman should have gotten offensive fouls for using his butt to drive block Malik off the court. They didn't make any calls that made me think "What are they watching" though and they didn't effect the outcome what so ever. That's all you can ask for in a crew. My one exception I took with them was that before the game, one of them was joking and telling stories with Stiverson that IMO crossed the boundaries of professionalism and made them appear as if they were friends. I sat behind the bench and it was obvious by the conversation that they knew each other. Whether they were friends or not I don't know and the ref in question called a completely unbiased and fair game but IMO coach-ref relationships should be kept more business than buddy buddy. It let's people like me have something to wonder about IF there were a bad or perceived unfair game called. In this case however the crew did pretty good I thought. They called a lose game and both teams must adjust.

We have got to get better ball movement. All we did tonight was just dribble a few times and shoot a long contested jumper. The guards have got to get better at getting the ball into Malik(even over tall players). Malik has got to move a little with the ball. Not a lot but I think I only saw him take one dribble all night when we were in our set offense. IMO Turner has got to be more composed and consistent. He had a huge game last week and IMO, dissapointed this week. Malik played well. Jalen played well in spurts. Zach Johnson played very well for a freshman. Isaac Beverly did what he is expected to do(play D). It would be nice to see him hit some open three's this year. Tyler Manion has got to be more physical and not get banged around but he had a decent game as well when he didn't sribble himself into trouble.

The Cavs should be fine if they work out some things on the offensive end. We can't keep having the 2004 Cleveland Cavaliers stand around and watch Lebron offense when we don't have Lebron to give it too lol. I look for the Cavs to take a few lumps throughout the season but by tournament time I think they will be rounding into form and be very tough to beat and I think they have a great shot to win the SEOAL. The SEOAL race should come down to the wire and there is no reason Chilli can't or wont be on top.

Kids not dressed illness or discipline hopefully illness or we could see the same thing that went on in football every week players out due to disciplinary measures that type of stuff absolutely kills things and as for Hauserman very physical but it aint a foul unless there is a whistle he also abused our big men last year with ALL of the athletes we have why do only a few play ?????? And do we have any half court sets to run other than dribble penetrate and pass ?????

49-34 final. Braves had a 17 point lead at one point, but instead of laying down like a lot of young teams do, Chillicothe kept battling back. A few key buckets here and there and the score would have been much closer.

Both teams have a good bit of work to do, but Logan Elm is much farther along than Chillicothe is at this point. Their defense was very physical which I love to see, and if they keep it up they'll make an extremely deep run again this year. If the offense keeps developing, Logan Elm will be a nightmare for some teams.

As for Chillicothe, they are a diamond in the rough right now. However, as the season continues, they will improve and by tourney time will be a very good team.

The London-Hauserman matchup was a good one because though Logan is much, much bigger and stronger, London is a good shot blocker (though he needs to watch the goaltending). I personally think that though London blocked shots, Logan got the better of him most of the night. As soon as London would touch the ball in the post, Hauserman would be in his face. London got some open shots around the foul line (the hole in a 2-3 defense, which I think Chillicothe should have tried to exploit a little more) and on the base line, but he had to work for everything under the bucket. If London starts bulking up (he's a sophomore so he will), he could be a complete game changer.

I like the size that we're seeing at Logan Elm. Hauserman is 6'7", Pritchard is about 6'5", Fulton coming off the bench is 6'5", Elswick is about 6'3".

The officiating crew did a pretty nice job, some questionable calls on both sides but that happens in about every game. I agree with datchillicav that they called a loose game, which would better suit Logan Elm. If they get a crew that calls a tight game, they may run into foul trouble.

Nice crowd at the game; both sides were really into it. This isn't the last time they'll see each other either. Mark my words, they will meet in the Convo for the Southeast District Championship.

Logan is fat, thats all. He is not athletic at all. Malik blocked over half his shots, but the ones that went in, went in at the riight time. Just un lucky

I agree loganelmgrad this was not the last time we see Chillicothe playing Logan Elm.....Chillicothe will get better as the year goes...this will not turn out like the past football season at Chillicothe. For one the kids like playing for Coach K unlike Coach D....you won't see the same lame offensive plays either! Its only game #2,long season ahead. The Cavs will win the SEOAL and march into the tourney like a lion...go Cavs!!!!!

Logan is just fat huh? You're pretty classy aren't you?

Logan and Malik have very different styles and do very well at them. Malik is a very athletic shot blocker and Logan stays true to his lineman style, outmuscling most post players who are smaller than he is. Logan really took Malik wherever he wanted to because he could use his size to push him around and keep him from getting into a good position for the rebound/pass etc etc (again, debatable as to whether that should be called a foul or not). When you're in the post, I don't care how good of a shot blocker you are, you can't do much when you're playing out of position.

Curious comment by trojandave regarding London as the best defensive player in the SE district. J. Thomas ball pressure was far more disrupting during the game than London standing behind Hauserman, and getting out of position while waiting to block his shots. Couldn't understand why Kellough didn't have London fronting Hauserman and forcing LE to lob the ball over the defense. Bad game plan IMO when it came to the 2 big men and their weight differences?

Fronting him would have taken up a lot of energy and would have wore the young soph.out early, fronting a stronger player taxes your stamina quicker than anything on a basketball floor.Malik is a good shot blocker,so behind him was the proper way to defend.

independent 2012. I would agree if Hauserman would've ran London all over the paint non stop. Cavs should have at least tried it because what they were doing wasn't working!

route56, I was pleased on how well Jake Thomas pressured Chillicothe's guards. He does a nice job on defense, like Chad Holbrook did last season for the Braves.
