RV played one of....if not it's best games of the year......our big got several touches in the paint.....and played big......RV had 14 turnovers...according to my napkin stats....which was well below their average......overall team effort on defense......very proud Raider

only having 14 turnovers was a big point too. RV got good shots and took care of the ball. They really outplayed Alexander. Congratulations.

Insane Alexander beat Vinton County

Agreed. Alexander shot almost 70% from the field that game. They should've beat VC by double digits, but only beat them on a buzzer beater. I still can't get over how crazy Alexander was playing that night. Doesn't help that the Alexander A.D. pulled some very hypocritical moves during the end of that game & there was no technical called when some fans stormed the court with 2 seconds left.

Oh well. We got em back by 25 at home & have the 1 seed. We only care about the winner of New Lex / Marietta now.

The RV coaching staff didn't use him right at all both times RV played VC. They tried to use him as a passing big, not a post scorer. He's talented & would give anybody fits if a coaching staff used him right.

If you call a technical for fans storming the court on Alex then VC should have been issued 2
Technicals , one when play stopped due to a VC fan being ejected , the second when play stopped when VC fans were under the basket. Even VC coach had to leave his bench to address the situation. I have no problem with techbinals being issued when play is stopped but be fair about it across the board .

I've never seen where a technical was issued for somebody being thrown out of the game. I have however seen technicals are called when fans storm the court too early. Also, I've never seen an A.D. let cheerleaders cheer behind the basket all game, but once the opposing team was shooting pivotal free throws where the cheerleaders were, make the cheerleaders move. I'm going off what's happened the other 1,000 games I've watched. Not just VC / Alexander games.

Interesting you give Alexander A.D. as much credit for the win as you do Alexander players. To my knowledge Bradd Jeffers did not score a basket of defend a single person all night. Give credit to the kids for playing so well instead of finding an excuse of why it was tough. I am not suggesting our A.D. doesn't make mistakes, just that the players\coaches are the ones that should get the credit.

What's the difference in storming the court or escorting a fan out. Both stops the game thus both should be a technical , or neither should be a technical .
