Going to take a step back without Thornsberry. No one to replace his leadership, especially not your son mr Satterfield.
Re: Eastern Beaver
wow! Thirnsberry a leader? 25 shots a game and 20% shooting is being a leader. Yes. You are right.GOINDIANS wrote:Going to take a step back without Thornsberry. No one to replace his leadership, especially not your son mr Satterfield.
They will be way better this year with all these guys coming back. Hawks was the huge loss!
As long as there is less selfish shots and guards trying to do way too much. I see them improving!
Re: Eastern Beaver
I think them and symmes valley are the 2 best going into next season with notre dame a close 3rd
Re: Eastern Beaver
That's exactly what I was thinking. I have Eastern, SV equally competitive with ND.lightle04 wrote:I think them and symmes valley are the 2 best going into next season with notre dame a close 3rd
Watkins and Noel are surely the most athletic of all these teams. Not too sure about the whole SOC 1. I have seen Watkins play and Noel in the soc. They were always the most athletic on the court. Symmes has a great all around team. That is usual the last couple years. They have not been weak. I say green should be an alright contender. East has a couple players to run their game. Not enough for Symmes idt.

My son plays aau with Chad Lands and I'm telling you right now that kid is going to be a nightmare for who ever Eastern plays this past Sunday he dropped 27 and 24 in back to back games the kid is a beast.

Lightle04 your right about Lands, he should be very good this year for the Eagles. This is his team for the next two yearslightle04 wrote:My son plays aau with Chad Lands and I'm telling you right now that kid is going to be a nightmare for who ever Eastern plays this past Sunday he dropped 27 and 24 in back to back games the kid is a beast.

Re: Eastern Beaver
Alot of talk here about Lands. I look for him to do well the next 2 years and could be lethal if he has improved from 3 range. I think for the Eagles to do well this year, Piquet (spelling?),Watkins, and Lykins will have to rebound better and make the putbacks. Way to many missed shots from close last year. The eagles were very weak in the paint last year.
Have open gyms started yet for the eagles? How has the turnout been?

Re: Eastern Beaver
I'm sorry, I just don't see Satterfield being a POY, for the simple fact that last year he came in to Eastern, after being a star at Western, and only started very few games. Yes, the kid is talented and a good athlete, but I just don't see him winning that award, especially over Watkins, Lands, Noel and others.
Re: Eastern Beaver
Satterfield didn't start early because of his deffense if you remember the last 6 games when his min went up he averaged over 16 a game . That's POY stats I'm not trying to argue though we will just watch and see but Lands, won't get it cause he's a junior they usually don't get much love for POY.
Re: Eastern Beaver
I played at open gym this summer, and Lands was shooting lights out. I remember one game that he didn't miss at all. From 3 and from midrange. He is going to be a very nice player in the league, and don't count him out for POY either.Eaglesnest wrote:Alot of talk here about Lands. Are you saying that he averaged 16 minutes a game or 16 points?lightle04 wrote:Satterfield didn't start early because of his deffense if you remember the last 6 games when his min went up he averaged over 16 a game . I agree. Lands is a Junior though. Then again, I do not expect to see Watkins at Eastern this upcoming season.run-n-gun wrote:I'm sorry, I just don't see Satterfield being a POY, for the simple fact that last year he came in to Eastern, after being a star at Western, and only started very few games. Re: Eastern Beaver
I think the league has lots of talent this year maybe not great teams but every team haveing a go to player that can burn the nets on any given night will be fun to see who will rise to the top . Even more important though some of the teams this year could make I little run come tourney time .
