Warren Warriors Basketball 2012-2013
Although tuff losing 5 outstanding seniors, the winningest class in Warrior history, the young Warriors remaining are a very talented athletic group. Leading the way will be sharpshooter Evan French. The 6'4" junior led the Warriors in scoring a year ago and garnered All SEOAL and All District selections. The 3 ball got him noticed but this kid can score anywhere on the court. Junior Reece Patton a 6'4" slasher will give the Warriors a active leaper that provides inside scoring on a consistent basis. With sensational sophomore Michael Hall the Warriors truly  have a 1-2-3 scoring punch. The 6'6" Hall already getting DI inquiries, will be a tuff matchup for teams.  He  plays any position on the court and late game one on one situations should favor the Warriors. Hall has a beautiful mid-range game and shoots the 3 ball very well. In addition with seniors  Evan Yabbs,  Danny Pannell, Adam Lang and Matt Dryer providing leadership and everybody playing tough physical defense like every "Maddox" coached team, this group could have an outstanding season.Â
Nov 30th the Warren Warriors open the season @ Meigs HS. With 22 games this season, Coach Maddox has upgraded an already tuff schedule. Along with the usual big SEOAL matchups with Porthsmouth and Chilly, the Warriors add Newark Catholic as well as Cols Upper Arlington. Throw in the always tough Washington County games with Fort Frye, Marietta and Belpre and this young group could be battle tested ready for a long tourney run.Â

Warren is my choice to capture the 2012-13 SEOAL basketbakk crown, The Warriors came close last year and the JV team thumped most of its opponents.

Newark or Newark Catholic? Big difference. Newark Catholic is good. Newark High is really good. Dartis plays for Nerk.
NC has Jett Speelman, David Meuer, and Chayce Crouch.
If it's NC, that should be a great game and one I won't miss.

GO BLUE! Whats the word on Chilly? Are they in or out? Remember boys last year was the FOUNDATION year. Keep building. Keep getting better!

Re: Warren Warriors Basketball 2012-2013
Warren is also my choice to win the SEOAL this coming season.......with that said, my Trojans are going to be very competitive despite losing 12 seniors. I give the Warriors a decided edge in size, but Portsmouth definitely has the backcourt talent (Jayllen Carter, Sky Oliver, Kyre Allison) that will be very formidable for any opponent. The PHS JV team went 17-3 last year.
Looking forward to having some good chats with 32,16,6 and ex-coach78.

You are correct! My mistake.

How Ironic....Warren playing Newark. Tyler Ward of Warren and Christian Kellar of Newark are team mates at Muskingum this year. Of course Im a little partial, but both kids are good kids, cant wait to watch all three teams play this year. Basketball continues to be my favorite sport.

44 days until basketball season opens in Warriorland. Evan French and Reese Patton will lead a talented group to what could be a record breaking season. The Warriors will give the fans lots of excitement and hopefully bring both SEOAL and DISTRICT titles back to Rt 339

Re: Warren Warriors Basketball 2012-2013
Newark Catholic is a premier team. They nearly made the state tournament a year ago and had no seniors. Their big kid and two of their guards are supposed to be outstanding. Should be a great game to prepare Warren for the tournament
