Have to agree with ya EDspy. Union Local has an alum and one of it's all-time greats coaching them, Ben Porter.
I'm guessing it was the local sports writer from either the Times Leader or Jeffersonian that gave UL that vote.
The Jets may win 15 or 16 this year, but a District semi-final might be as far as they go.
First place vote

Last Season FF played them and destroyed them by 27 no way they got that much better. Cadets are not even a top 30 team in D3.

Re: 2nd State AP Poll
According to Maxpreps Belmont Union Local has played only two teams with a record above .500:
Barnesville 3-10(x's 2), Harrison Central 6-6(x's 2), Buckeye Trail 7-6, Edison 5-8 (x's 2), Indian Creek 6-7, Beallsville 4-9, John Marshall 3-10 (x's 2), Saint Clairsville 3-5, Martins Ferry 6-5, and Buckeye Local 4-8.
I'm sure that the records aren't all up to date but either way it questions their validity as a top ten team in the state much less number one overall.
