Good entertaining game. Cries of overrated when Holden shoots a free throw. He had 19 points on the night . I’m sure the Tigers wish a player of theirs was “overrated”

Tigers losing Marquez hurt. They were up 22-16 early second and after he went out it was tied at 27 at the break. His defense was missed the most, especially second half - Ater made adjustments to him not being on the floor. Marquez also created easy baskets in the first with his driving and dishing.
Waverly fought and clawed the second half, never giving up but the missed FT’s really hurt and not being to knock down a couple shots when down 3.
Congratulations to the Pirates, they did what they had to do to win.

Free throws, free throws, free throws... Anybody have each teams made to miss free throws for the game, Tigers missed several, which cost them the game...Hats off to Burg they made there shots...

Great win tonight Pirates. Got down early and then battled back. Truitt was strong early on. Hit some big threes and had some nice drives to the bucket. He led all scorers with 22 tonight. Lowery had around 12-14 tonight.


Big game Tuesday with Oak Hill coming to the Burg.


Burg’s offense involves a lot of standing around. No screens are being set and everything to the basket is off the dribble. This team has the horses to run yet continue to play a half court game. Also, it was obvious Waverly wasn’t comfortable with a press, even a half court press. When Burg went to a press it caused turnovers and none bigger than the one towards the end of the game.
