... spot on Meech ... I DO KNOW that the freshmen/ JVs all have had the same coaching of fundamentals throughout their careers in the Warren system ... Coach Padgett in the lower grades/MS, Coaches Hoffman, Mitchem , Duckworth all led by Coach Maddox ... Coach Maddox has 445 wins/ Coach Duckworth with 430 wins ... I'm guessing that Coach Coffman has to be close to that magic 400 win milestone as well !!! ... I'm going to go out on a limb and say there are not any other or very, very few other coaching staffs in Ohio that can say they have coaches at all three levels - freshmen/JV/Varsity. - who have 400+ wins in their coaching careers ... even if Coach Terry Coffman doesn't have 400 ... 2 coaches (Maddox/Duckworth) with 400+ is amazing ... longevity/ consistency ... it's how a school such as Warren has one of the best "programs" in high school basketball ... very rare in this day and age of high school sports/coaching ...Meech wrote: Fri Apr 11, 2025 3:03 am Have no clue what to expect from Warren. Caught a few jv/freshman games and they were solid(38-0 combined),several varsity type players just blocked by 8 excellent seniors who mostly played 3 years of varsity. No varsity experience will definitely be a factor, but like you said, it’s a coach Maddox team, so my guess is they’ll be competitive.
Minford, South Webster with the "Blue Print" - Is there a SE District team(s) that make the Final Four in 2025-26???

It would really shock me if south webster didn't have another successful season next year. I believe if they can find a main guy who can give them anywhere from 16-20 ppg they can make another run in D7. The senior class should be solid with 3 level scorer Hunter Barnard and sniper Brycin McClintic. Hopefully they can find a 6'6+ big to make them a state contender once again. However, no matter what they will have great team chemistry between a group of kids who grew up together.

South Webster has a big coming next year, he will be a freshman next season. More of a back to the basket kind of big, but can step out and knock down a 3 too.

Webster has a bright next 4-5 years, but after that if they don’t get any transfers they are done. Next year Large will come in and already be putting up big numbers as a freshmen. You also can’t forget young Kreischer coming up as well as little Barnard. The Jeeps have a bright future and have many years of glory left.transplant wrote: Mon Apr 14, 2025 2:33 pm South Webster has a big coming next year, he will be a freshman next season. Also can I say I don’t think Minford has a super bright future they don’t really have anyone coming up this year and the graduate their dynamic duo. Also I believe Portsmouth and Burg have bright futures. With Portsmouth bringing up the Berry and Green kid they are going to be dangerous as well as Woodward and Chamberlin for Burg. Burg can’t do much worse than they were this year it is going to be cool to see what pouty prater can do with this new talent coming up.

I agree, like you said Blane always finds ways to win. The culture coming out of Warren schools is great to see on Southern Ohio. Obviously losing the bulk of your scoring with Julian leaving, I see the warriors becoming more of an everyman eats team.Meech wrote: Fri Apr 11, 2025 3:03 am Have no clue what to expect from Warren.
