If we play at the intensity level that we did tonight, we should beat Buckeye Trail by 30

A win for Trail could set them up for a league title.

Both losses are in The league. If they win out and ff beats doah and neither of those teams lose anymore, it'd be a 3 way tie

I could see FF losing one of these road games River, Doah,or Trail.

river beat trail and i was up by 15 at one point they turn the ball over too much. thats how trail got back in it. if river sweeps doah, beats fort at home and trail at home they would win the pvc out right

I don't know about that but this is a very small FF team with a big heart and a GREAT coach. Good Luck to Coach Liedtke and FF in the PVC.

Not sure if I would say hey is better than Engle. Shon is very talented. Does anyone know how many career points he has now?

Really Engle had 1677 points and 311 threes a state record don't put that kinda pressure on Shon.

It'son the plaque in the school next to the picture of the final 4 team. Someone will have to check on that. But I dont think Shon will be close to the 3 point record. He will have to have a heck of a senior year to reach tge total points

By better, I don't mean total career points, I doubt he'll touch any of Engle's scoring records, but he's just, imo, a better all around player in terms of how he runs the point and creates plays for others, but still scores. It's basically like comparing Ray Allen to Derrick Rose.

This.

Also, lets not forget that the level of talent in the area when Engle played, was quite a bit better than it is today.

Very true. When engle was a junior, that team was outstanding. Had the best boys, ferguson, engle, mason lang, colton and brandt theiman. I'm sure I'm forgetting a few players or maybe 1 or 2 didn't play much varsity, but that team was great.

When you compare teams like that to now, the one thing that comes to mind that the older teams would have an advantage on is height. It seems like there aren't any teams around with tall boys.

How do you feel about this game? Trail will want redemption and will have confidence after beating doah. Ff has been playing great since they lost to the zeps and even though they lost to warren, I. Think they're still hot as well. They just need to have better shot selection

Shon wont get to 225 3s.Engle only player in state history with over 300.Shon is a great player who could be all- state one day.

Back then, seemed like every team had at least one or two guys who were very good. And yes, their was a lot more size back then as well. When I was in school, we regularly had guys in the 6'2, 6'3, 6'4 range. Even the guards were bigger.

As for the game, tough to say. Trail will have to fix some mistakes from the first game, and if they do, I think they're capable of beating FF. They need to pound it inside more, and have got to get through the screens. It amazed how many teams act like they've never played the Fort before. They shoot it, and they shoot it well. If you don't get through screens and get a hand up, they're going to drain it from deep all night.
