Make sure you check http://www.svcsportszone.com/ after every night of games to see scores and stats. Best league website around.

You have Southeastern 1-0 here - but 0-1 on the web site?
Did they win last night or what?

I had seen conflicting scores, but am changing it right now. They are 0-1.
Re: Scioto Valley Conference: Schedule, Scores, and Standing
Shayne does a nice job with the SVC site.
Couple of interesting ballgames on Friday-Saturday at Westfall with Unioto coming to the Dome on Friday and defending champion Piketon on Saturday.

Gotta support the local site, but seriously, you do a great job as well. I just wish someone would do one for the SHL, SCOL, and SOC(s). It makes things so much easier to follow.93Bulldog wrote:Man, just throw trivalleyconference under the bus why don't ya ...danicalifornia wrote:Best league website around.![]()

Our new podcast show is ready for listen. This week we hear from Westfall coach Roger Mink. We recap boys and girls. We also look at how the game has changed over the past 50 years as we have opinions from WKKJ's Mike Smith as well as Aaron Skeens and Jeremy Ward.

Re: Scioto Valley Conference: Schedule, Scores, and Standing
What I am seeing early...
Unioto- Cole Murray is the favorite for POY. The kid is the most valuable player on any team in the league. Unioto is my pick to win the league, great size and athletes to surround the POY.
Hoops throwing some wins together after some years of struggling, building on a winning year last year with Davis & the boys.
Huntington's starting 5 is very solid. Gragg is right behind Murray in the POY race. Gragg's supporting cast with Vickers,Hall,Kellough...has a little more basketball skill then Unioto, but not the size & athletes. Rhinehart continuing to do what Rick Uhrig put in place for many years, looks like the same type of team. They will be on Unioto's heels all season.
Piketon- I really like Moore,Brabson, and Farmer. I think Moore could sneak into that POY race, he can flat out score it and can get it up and down. Brabson has been showing he can shoot from the outside. Farmer is an outstanding athlete and is a beast on the boards. Lisath will have them clicking come 2nd half of the SVC.
SE- Brown is going about his business like usual, scoring and rebounding at a very high rate. Kellough gives them an outside punch with his shooting. SE could continue to grow with Miles(freshman) running the point. They get Hall back and let their young guys continue to grow into their roles. SE will be a tough to beat on a nightly basis.
Zane Trace- They have a "big 3" like Piketon, I just don't think this big 3 is as talented as Piketon. I like Beam on the inside, works hard and has some decent skills. Hill can shoot it from anywhere. Carle is a nice athlete but is a streaky shooter.
These 3 teams might knock somebody off on a back to back, they arn't able to compete with the rest of the league on a nightly basis.
Westfall- They have the athletes and talent, not sure what is going on with Robertson & Stonerock.
Paint Valley- Barker and Hermann are trying to carry them, not much depth. They could catch you on a bad night.
Adena- Looking like the Adena teams of the past couple years, could be another long year.

Steadyed- I like your assessment, but a quick word on Stonerock. He's just recently been cleared from a major back injury, so look for him to be a bigger factor in the 2nd half of the year once he's back in shape.
As long as Huntington/Unioto don't stub their toes tonight, Tuesday's game will be huge.

Re: Scioto Valley Conference: Schedule, Scores, and Standing
Everything is updated going into 2012. Hope everyone has a great night!
Huge games coming up this week:
Piketon @ Unioto- Unioto needs to protect their home court, while a win for Piketon goes a long way into repeating as champion.
Zane Trace @ Huntington- ZT is a better team than they have shown the last 2 ball games and they want to show it on Friday. Huntington needs a bounce back win after the tough loss to Wellston.
Huntington @ Lucasville, Piketon vs. Vinton County- These are big statement games for the league after this past weekend. Go SVC
