You are correct! Just win and move on! SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST!
That's why you play 5! If some are not playing up to par, others pick up the slack. That's what VC did.
Great game Jake & Drew!

At least no one is saying "VC by as many as they want." That gets old.

You must have me mixed up with someone else!
I didn't make a point spread prediction; I don't think.
Just in case I will review that thread and see.
Ironman 92 made that bold prediction, not me. Read before you post!
I don't think I would want to be Court House in this game because the Vikes will play better than they did against New Lex.

I have a theory on this, but I will not elaborate right now. Only to say that game score predictions, point spread or anything akin to it, is counterproductive.

Alex Wilson will be a different kind of big man for Guthrie to go against. He's a big man, because the rest of his teammates aren't as big as him. He's more of a 3 man than anything, but will play with his back to the basket if he must. He's about 6'4 and ridiculously athletic. He's a much more athletic version of the Miller kid from ZT.

They have some very athletic players, Frazier, Cox, and the Free Brothers are all 3 sport athletes, who are very good at all 3. Basketball is probably their #3 sport, but they are still tough. Very quick at the PG and they have a freshman shooter who comes off the bench(might start now)

If WCH comes to play, this should be a very good game, but if VC gets up early, it could turn into a blowout.

I might say that the vikes should win without a hitch, but rarely post a point spread.
No matter it's only an opinion anyway, and opinions are like ..... well you know; everybody has one!
With that said I like the Vikes in a close one!
As far as pressing goes, i hope they press the first string, which should lead to some easy hoops.

I have a question for the Viking faithful, what was the score of the games with Waterford? Just wondering after seeing them last night and wondering about this game on friday. Does Court House and Vinton County have any teams in common?

Vinton County beat Waterford 56-52. Dut Guthrie led VC with 30 points. As far as common opponents, I don't think there are any.

Two common opponents would be Southern (VC won 61-42) and Trimble (VC won 79-59). I believe Wellston was another common opponent (VC won 77-45 and 71-37). There should have been 2 other common TVC Ohio opponents. Not sure of Waterfords scores against these any of these opponents.

Yes! Must praise the defense. We in Viking land have come to expect great offense, some (me for one) have put defense on the back burner.

Dut may of only had 3 points, but had a dump truck load of rebounds, some assists, and around 5 bocks. Ben played his usual great defense. Ethan came in and made some plays. Stewie played great D as well. Jake and Drew took care of the ofense.
The play on the fast break was tremendous. Blocked and last touched by a New Lex player. The Panther coach was livid, got t'd up, but the play was awesome! The ref made the right call. I was on New Lex side and had a great view of the play.
This might not be a good time to play VC. Sure Coach Combs has them fired up to play in the Convo!
Hey CJ, my 7th grade beat Logan last night at Trimble to go 14-0.

I would echo what dani said about Court House and the game in general. The Free brothers (QB and WR in football) are both about 6 feet tall and pretty much gym rats....Wilson though is the key to the game for WCH as he is quite the athlete.
