Just talked to Waverly's AD and we're still on. We need all Waverly fans to make the trip to cheer on our Tigers.

I agree with EaglesNest...Minford does matchup with Waverly athlete wise,but I do see Waverly getting the win although it wont be easy,Imsure Minford will be fired up for this one.Sloan will have to play great for the Falcons to win.I predict Waverly 63-52.

This will be one of the few games that Waverly plays all year where they are not more "athletic" than their opponent. Waverly has better basketball players...not athletes. Minford is a dangerous team. Waverly will lose if they overlook the Falcons.

Eaglenest you continue to lose your credibility with posts like this. Minford is athletic and dangerous but don't try to tell us they are more athletic. Roback all state football, Martin has been all district in baseball basketball and soccer and is on par to be the all time leading scorer for Waverly in basketball, Kretzer is ranked #4 in the state as a basketball player for the graduating class of 2012 and the scrawny Remy kid has been all district three years in soccer. That leaves Sammy, who might be the best point guard in the league. Waverly might get upset but it won't be because of being inferior athletes.

Sammy is far from the best PG in the league..I mean come on,the kid is a good player but nowhere near the level of Kyle Ondera of Oak Hill,Bendolph from Burg,I would probably give Sloan of Minford and the kid from Valley a slight edge over him as well. I really like #2 from Waverly as a PG..I know he is young but he has impressed me in the 3 games I've seen them play but Kretzer and Martin are what make that team go.Once again,no disrespect to Sammy J but he is far from the best PG in the league.

Were you at the Waverly/Burg or Waverly/Valley games? No way is Johnston far from Bendolph or the Valley kid. We'll see what happens tonight with Sloan and then Waverly travels to Oak Hill next Tuesday. Sammy Johnston is not "far" from the best PG in the league.

Good Win for the Tigers tonight. They looked a little sloppy in the second half when the lead was around 30. Minford didn't look as good as i thought they might be, or nearly as good as this thread made them out to be. I'm still looking for the kid from Minford who can jump out of the gym. If anyone sees him let me know.

I think you missed this one Eaglesnest??!! Minfords athletes didn't show up like Waverly's did tonight! You must have been talkin about another Minford team..lol.. If Minford had such good athletes they must not be very competitive..
