Are we doing just SE district + Logan?
Teams like Fort Frye and Ripley are very, very good....but not sure of how the boundries should work.

I just mentioned Ripley because I thought they were deserving, and its not too far down the river from Manchester. I also don't know as much about some teams like Logan Elm, Warren etc...Ironman92 wrote:Are we doing just SE district + Logan?

Should be only SouthEast District! Or else youve opened Pandora's Box.
Re: "The People's Elite 8" poll, sponsored by datchillicav
I don't care what they are.....just want to know who all to consider.

For the purposes of the poll and avoiding "opening pandora's box" only include teams in the SE district. I do agree that Ripley would get consideration if they were in the S.E. district.

Logan is a member of the Southeast District so they should be included in the district pool. Not their fault they are the only D1 and have to go to the Central District tourney.

1- Chillicothe
2- Chesapeake
3- Piketon
4- Logan Elm
5- Ironton
6- Warren
7- Portsmouth
8- Peebles*
*-Flipped a coin after reading Miami Trace fell to Fairfield on Saturday.
One quick question: How do you want this ranked? If it's a power poll(who is the hottest) then I may have some wacky rankings in next week's, because Fairfield(4-7ish) is beating good teams now that they have their best player back and Wellston is red-hot as well.

Re: "The People's Elite 8" poll, sponsored by datchillicav
Rank it how you want. Personally, I use the entire season's body of work but I put more emphasis on something that is done recently than in the first week or two of the season. For example, if someone were to beat the #1 AP division 1 team in the state in week two but last week lost 2 out of 3, I would not have said team at #1. I would still credit them for that win though and would not drop them as far as I would a team without that signature win. In other words, I think of myself as the NCAA selection commitee. But I truly do want this to be "The People's Elite 8" so vote as you see fit.
As this week's games start tonight, I will stop counting any votes submitted after 6:00 PM today. Sometime this evening, I will open a thread that has the final poll from this week and would like people to post updates of scores for any teams that got votes this week or they feel are close to consideration. Then when The next poll is opened up next Sunday, we will have a single place to see updates on all the "elite" teams and I will probably put a recap of the week that was on the first post of the next poll.
