March 18, 1978....The Portsmouth Trojans defeated defending state champion Cleveland Cathedral Latin 63-62....to win the Ohio Class AA State Championship. Just a shout out to all of the players, parents, cheerleaders, fans, and school administration that shared that magical moment. To the 2011 Trojans "Believe and you can Achieve"

Thanks Bvmv
Wish we could watch Chilly play some more. They are fun team to watch and we share a lot of respect for each other. Nothing but big things coming for both programs.

Unfortunately I will be in Florida for the next 10 days so no chance of me making the games. It was great to see Coach Lisath post on here and that he spoke to the TROJANS.

With the departing of Marietta for the ECOL, the SEOAL will be comprised of 6 teams starting in the 2011-2012 school year........which means 10 league games and 10 non-league games.......right now, the non-conference schedule includes Peebles, Whiteoak, South Point, Wheelersburg, South Webster, and Ironton twice........Boyd County could be added to this list, and if they are, PHS still would need 2 games to fill the schedule.

Glad to see Portsmouth and Ironton playing twice next year, should be a couple great games unlike this years game.

Im really looking forward to my Indians finally get a chance to play the trojans during the regular season. Too bad this wasent during this past year though. We lose 6 of our top 8 players(2 of them all-state gaurds) but still have two all district players returning in Jake Daniels and Trent Arey....plus Beau Justice(blake's younger brother) will probably see major minutes as a freshman. I think this will be a good measuring stick to see where our young team stands next season.

I would love to see Piketon and Portsmouth play.........I think it's a great matchup with two Trojans guiding their teams........and I can almost guarantee that it will fill the gym. If the Redstreaks can fill their PG position after the loss of Evan Legg, they should have another strong team, while the Trojans will transition to Wayne Evans being the full-time PG after the loss of Andrew Bendolph.

OHbuckeye1: The two games between the Fighting Tigers and Trojans won't be anything like last year's game.......IHS and PHS should be in the running for a regional and possible state berth in 2011-2012.

Very excited for next season!! Like the additions to the schedule. Also I would like to congratulate Wayne Evans. He played in the Buckeye Prep Classic. His team won the championship. He played with two Taft players and some other great talent.
