Yeah I know and it's unfortunate. SE has one down season and the witch hunt gets going because a few Johnnies aren't playing.

From reading some threads to make parents and fans happy...

T-blu, your way off base, again. Coaching positions at this district are ALWAYS on a 1 year basis. Last year, certain individuals made sure Hughes would not get the job, Ward needed a job that Green couldn't give him, and Lewis withdrew his name at the last minute. Hopper was the only one left. He got it by default. Things should change next year with new blood on the board. At least that is the hope.

Has there been any official announcement from the school stating that Hopper will not be back, or that there is a position vacancy?

I believe Kitchen wants to coach at West. Both the kids and coaches had a positive experience come from what could have been disastrous. Credit to Coach Kitchen, Arden and Triplett for creating a great atmosphere and sound principles. I believe there are teaching opportunities at West that Kitchen is qualified for. It is always a good thing to have a coach that is in the system during the day.

If West does not step up for Coach Kitchen and give a great teacher and coach a teaching position, what a disappointment that will be to the West kids and parents....and if they do not, they will continue to struggle in basketball. It would prove to be a win-win situation for the school and for the kids.
