He must still be feeling a bit under the weather, he didn't play but a couple minutes in the 2nd half.

gotigers is the exact reason why ironton and south point is becoming a big rivalry, im not saying everyone in ironton is arrogant but you my friend are. And for the record it is very annoying. If South Point gets the athletes that you all do, who are not from Ironton then we dominate everyone around here too and go to the convo 6 years in a row.

But onto the game it was a great game. If we have Kratz we win plain and simple we had 22 turnovers. Kratz is the best ball handler/leader in the area. But not goin to make excuses we lost thats how it goes. Congrats to South Point on a solid season and thanks to Kevy, Kratz, Fletch, and Drew.

You're "not going to make excuses" but you did! You know what is annoying? Excuse making! Look at what prompted my comments, which by the way, and whether you like it or not are facts! It was the crying about the technical foul and not having your best player and if this or that then you all win. That is annoying! For the record, South Point lost to Ironton for the 2nd straight year in the tournament. Also, we can't help who we have come to our school any more than you can, but if you want to win a sectional basketball game, then you definitely aren't going to go to South Point.

Ok first off lets quit this retarded crap...ok the game is over, and in my last post no i did not mean it the way it sounded about prater.its just the fact that at that point in the game, SP had all the momentum in that game then the T took it all away by only making 1 of 2 foul shots then ironton do the same and get the ball back. He got the T for turning around and saying something to lamb on his last foul, but he made up for that by getting a few more points. second off, championship, you are exactly right. With Kratzenburg, the pointers win this game no doubt about it. They only lost by 6 and Kratz averages around 15 or so a game i believe? This was a physical game the entire game. Ironton was all over SP players but theres nothing that any of the SP players could do other than try to draw fouls. third, the thing that cost the pointers the game is not boxing out and keeping the tigers off the boards. they gave up so many boards to lucas who would put it right back up and get points. also them not making all of their foul shots cost them the game, but theres nothing anyone can do about it. I would love to see these two teams play again with SP having Kratz and see how the outcome would be. Congrats to all of the SP seniors (Kevy, Drew, Kratz, Fletch) on a good season.

also gotigers, you can say what you want about Kratzenburg, but with him SP would have won and you know, he wanted to go in and do what he could but his parents and the coaching staff didnt want him to further on his injury.

Actually, if South Point just got the kids in their own district to come out and play sports, over the past 20 years, they would have been better. However, for one reason or the other, they cannot do it. Maybe it's because they want great running backs to play guard or something? i dont know.

Also, with kratzenburg, you would have won? Really? Would you have won with Todd Mayo and a 20-0 regular season also? Woulda coulda shoulda dont win games. When you vote for the wrong teams as the top seed, sometimes "karma" comes back and bites you in the rear end.

How in any way was selecting South Point the #1 seed that year a mistake. What are you talking about that they want "great running backs to play guard."

Not last year, this year. Chesapeake the #1 seed, after losing at home to ironton, without Lamb? Come on. Karma brother, Karma.

Didn't Ironton lose to burg and chessy beat burg? who's to say who get the 1 seed, and i highly doubt that sp had the almighty vote to give chessy the 1 seed, other coaches voted as well

I am still trying to think of the best player we have been without for the last 6 games? I have been to every game home and away this season with the exception of the 2 games at Marietta and I still can't figure out who gotigers is talking about. Someone help me out with this one.

As for the game, I think it might have been different if Kratz had been playing for the Point just as I think it might have been different if Lamb didn't get in foul trouble as well. I mean they could not stop him the 1st half. I was confused of why he wasn't playing more in the 2nd half before he fouled out. He was on fire. Glad to see Timmy K. back. Hope he gets back to his old self soon.

I personally thought the Pointers wanted this game more and they came very close to getting the win. The Tigers have a week to get healthy and get ready for the Convo.

Andrew Davis best of luck to you. You are a fine young man and my family wishes you nothing but the best. Keep that mom of yours in line :122249

He was Irontons leading scorer when we lost him. I would say that he would have an impact but that's water under the bridge now.

Against:

Fairland..........19
Manchester......19....didn't play entire game Subs
Jackson..........6.....didn't play entire game Subs
Chillicothe.......25
Russell...........18....didn't play entire game Subs
Brookhaven.....11
Wheelersburg...18
Gallia Acad......8.....didn't play entire game Subs
Chesapeake.....21
Portsmouth......6
Jackson.........11
Zanesville........5
Chillicothe.......9
Ashland..........16

That's the games he played in.

So we are talking about Dustin? I thought you meant someone who has been out and would be returning to play. Yes I think we miss Dustin but I think the boys have done a good job.

We need to play better defense, keep hitting the boards, and get those shots falling and we will be fine.

Yes, other coaches did vote....all OVC coaches. By the way, Ironton was 3-0 vs OVC this season. Dont think it matters? It does. Chesapeake has had by far the easiest route.

Ironton is a lot better team without Dustin Green. No contraversy, and more TEAM ball!

The fact is Dustin is a kid,and as kids we make bad decisions at times.
Btw I think it takes alot of guts to STILL come to the game and cheer on his former team.Other people might have just ran their mouths about the other kids.

I for one don't think we're a better team.

I dont think u understand...Wheelersburg beat Ironton, Ironton beat chesapeake, and Chesapeake beat burg.....its very hard to figure out who is the number 1 seed.....

sp beat valley and valley got the four seed...nobody is complaining about it......

the brackets need to be redone because how would sp or ironton know anything about crooksville...its a stupid setup...

Lets say we buy your argument here. Lets then go to strength of schedule. Ironton beat Chillicothe, Jackson twice, Gallia twice, portsmouth twice wins against Ashland and Russell Ky and played brookhaven to two points. Ironton also beat Chesapeake at Chesapeake and Fairland at Fairland.

Is the SEOAL a tougher conference than the OVC? Come on.

Anyone who reads this needs to remember one thing....South Point 2007-2008. 20-0, lost the 1st round to Ironton, and they did not have a good record.
