It is turning into a pretty good yearly contest. Two teams wanting to test themselves to get better for the dance. Peebles with Chesapeake,Trimble,Federal Hocking,Miami Trace,Eastern Brown and North Adams x2 , Fairfield x2 ,Ripley on schedule. Indians will lose some but like Webster will be ready for tourney.

I don’t think we’re going to make it out of the sectionals this year Hoopie. Maybe I’m wrong but we’re trash this year. We’ll see how we fair vs some more D4 after we play
Burg x2
Oak Hill x2
Minford x2
Waverly x2
Fairland (10pt loss)
South Point ( 16pt loss)
Eastern Pike and Cochenour x 2
Even Valley is having a pretty good year after getting thrashed out of the gate.

Have my ole buddy Mike Rose give em a pep talk. I love catching up with him at the tournament. If I remember right Southeastern came into tournament with alot of losses and made a good run a few years ago.

I’m sure Mike has at least a little influence on the team. 😉

Thanks , I personally think any high school would be lucky to have him , he has college experience (Shawnee State) and now ten years in at Portsmouth ,his accomplishments at Portsmouth speaks for it's self in the last ten years ,all he has done is win .

Honestly I Don't think he gets enough credit for what he has done and sadly he doesn't get no where near the support from the Portsmouth people , anyway I just wanted give him some props , I'm not going to take over Pfloyds thread.

Hope everyone has a safe new year's

Coach Collins is OUTSTANDING ! I totally agree with you biggdowgg - ANY high school would be lucky to have a coach/teacher of the game - Coach Collins ... so good for the players, the community, PHS - HE checks off every single box for ANY high school looking for a coach who not only prepares players to represent ON the court BUT prepares "his kids" for life off the court AND AFTER high school hoops ... so glad you DID add Coach Collins as a topic on my thread !!! - Coach Collins IS a winner , he brings THAT court side NO MATTER the outcome of the game ON the court ...

Coach has always had a word or 12 for pfloyd when we cross paths - sadly not as often as when thr Trojans were in the SEOAL ! - I enjoyed every game/every conversation had when we DID run into each other prior to the games ... I wish him nothing but the best with his Trojans the remainder of the season !

Fed Hock at Trimble Friday, Floyd!

A different experience at William White Gymnasium than most gyms, always enjoy going there for games.

Very interesting and intriguing match up. It's been a minute since we've had a county rivalry game for first place in the Hocking.

I've gone to the Land of the Tomcats for hoops a few years in a row now 93dog - I enjoy touching bases with Howie ... this year Coach Caldwell takes his troops to Chesapeake for the Beasts of the Southeast as well so I'll get to see Trimble vs Peebles as well ... I look forward to seeing this one Friday night !

Facebook has by and large killed A LOT of forums I have been apart of over the past 10 years. It’s easier to kill time mindlessly scrolling through FB now. I didn’t have a good mobile phone capable of internet till 2011. I remember being in high school/jr high when Webster was dominate and we all huddled at a computer looking at JJHuddle and then we found SEOPs in 2009, me and half of the team would sit in our free period and read every single post that related to us and the competition in the SOC.

Now these kids all care about FB, Snapchat, Instagram and Twitter.

I was on BowHuntingOhio.com back in the day and it used to be the same, had to scroll to the 2nd page to catch up on new posts. Now I check in once a year and there might be 10 new posts in a year... there’s multiple Ohio deer hunting groups on FB with over 60k members and 200 new posts a day.

A quick look at the bottom of the forum shows 121 guests online right now. To those reading without an account, join the conversation before it’s too late

Correct.

Twitter & Facebook has pretty much taken the large forum audience.

Knowing who is saying something about you or knowing who you are debating with makes a big difference. I check preps, I still enjoy some of the posters & their insight - but I also got very tired of idiots posting ridiculous comments for no reason at all. Without any repercussions really. They cant do that on other social media platforms where there real identity is exposed.

I doubt that many hs athletes , students read SEOPs anymore ... I STILL feel that SEOPs is the best site to get scores, information about TEAMS, players etc that relate to hs sports ...

It definitely is. I haven’t found any other sites with this much insight. Yeah I can get stats on Maxpreps but there’s a lot more to it than that
