Congratulations to the Fighting Tigers......I figured going into the tourney that Ironton would be a very pesky team in this bracket.....and I look for IHS to give South Point all they can handle. If the Tigers are on their game, they can win the sectional.
If Portsmouth wins tomorrow, I will of course be in Waverly to watch the Trojans on Friday. But........if we lose.......I hate to even think that.....I will be in Jackson to watch the Fighting Tigers and Pointers.

Congrats to a very good Coach Lafon and the Tigers on the win tonight!! Now It's time to go beat the Pointers!!!! I would also like to say It has been very fun and an honor to have watched the seniors for the Redmen since they were freshman and to have seen each of them grow and develop as players as well as young men. You all have very bright future's and I know will go very far in life!!! I also hope everyone has a safe trip home in this bad weather!!

I guess it depends on the ref they get. The ref for the Ironton/Rockhil gae was some of the worse I have ever seen. Having six men on the court and it being let go pretty much says it all. The foul being called or the non called fouls were horrible. i was almost amazed at some fo the calls.THe Tigers were very quick. Good luck against the pointers.

At one point Ironton had around 20 fouls and RH had 10.
I believe they played with six players for about 3 seconds.....

You could play a heck of a defense with 6 players

With 6 men on the court the foul ratio is bound to be higher...

The Redmen worked hard but it was only a matter of time with the constant wave of quality subs Ironton was sending in. They had a great game plan. We played man-to-man early and it took alot out of us as the game wore on... we chased them all over the court and it caught up to us in the 3rd and 4th... Plus, Ironton was red hot from the field... Schweickert's two threes in a row in the third were taggers... everytime we made a run they answered. I was also impressed with Lewis down low... they did a good job penetrating and dishing low to him... SP did the same thing to us last game... oh well, it's been fun watching these guys and I wish them all well as they move forward. We had a pretty good fan base, but I wish our student body was more enthused... we used to have a basketball culture forming but that has disapated in the last couple of years... there is no sense of identity, I challenge those "in charge" to address the problem and if you do not see one, then we are simply blind. Many of these boys will be playing baseball so we get to watch them a bit more... ALso, thanks to the cheerleaders who faithfully cheered each game and gave their best and are often overlooked... Thanks to the coaches who give their time... the blame is often directed toward you, but I guess that's why you get the big bucks...lol... 11-10... could have been worse, a winning season and a lifetime of memories... we love you guys!

I am sorry to say this but the RH School Board is getting what they deserve. When Mills left this program went down the tubes. This group was far too talented to go 11-10 their final season, parents act out and make sure this doesn't happen again!

With all the turmoil going on at Rock Hill the last few years, I don't think basketball was a high priority.

Tough loss for the redmen, has been great watching these boys, really don't have a clue why matney sit so much was 1st or 2nd in each stat on the team. He sit more in this game than he sit all year. Ol well congrats to Nate on his 1st team.
