Thanks for mentioning Andrew Bendolph and Nate Cadogen of Portsmouth. If they had a "freshman of the year" award in the SEOAL, I think Andrew would win it. He led the Trojans in scoring at 13.5 ppg, and yet didn't start the first 4 games. When his career is over at PHS, he could end up the school's all time leading scorer.

Nate Cadogen had a very good year also, posting a bunch of double doubles.

Athens got no one on?

Has to not be correct, some players not deserving that i can see from list. Athens should have placed at least one, but the whole thing is just a joke from what i have seen over the years.

Wow, Coach Myers as COY. well, Bleed purple and PFloyd, I'm sure you have some thoughts on that? Congrats to Luke Wright, Pat Angle and Coach Myers.

Matt Witten may have been deserving of consideration from Athens, but honestly, probably 4 or 5 more deserving players than Matt who also did not make it. Tough year to make that all-league team. Congratulations. All well deserved.

Congrats to Coach Myers as North COY. I imagine some feathers slightly ruffled from the SEOAL League champs.

No, there is no rule that says Athens or any team has to have any.Be it right or wrong the boys and girls teams at Athens were both bad and the fact that they are leaving the SEOAL also might have had something to do with it.Is it that right? No. But it happens...

black panther...thanks for the kind words...nice to hear a supporter amidst the haters

BIG SHOUT OUT to humpty and Logan as repeat players of the year in their respective divisions! quite a notch on the resume. too bad we cant hear the heated debate that would spawn if there were only one POY :)

Congrats to all the players who made the team. its great to see the players from teams who didnt win as many as they wish they could have get some recognition.

^^^^

gahs, As always you are on target and your insightful comments enlighten all of us. I agree the coaches did a good job on the players. These all league teams are tough to select. I was glad to see Beverly of Chillicothe get selected, as he has been a defensive machine and worthy of recognition. His offense was off early in the year, but he single handedly kept us in the Marietta game (25 pts) and has got his stroke back later in the year.

The only question that still comes to mind for me, is North Coach of the year. I wonder if some politics and payback were used there. I know Logan had a solid season, but it is hard to vote against the league champion (with only 1 league loss).

GO CAVS!!!

bronc21, I never said that Hicthens did not deserve to be nominated, I never said that he was a bad player, all I said was that I didnt like his attitude. So get it right bronc21. Show me where I said that. He is a very good player and when I said that somebody on the list wasnt deserving it wasnt anybody from Chilli.
