I snapped a few pics of the game tonight and was really impressed with the Golden Rockets new floor ... very nice!!!

... much needed win for the Bulldogs tonight ... must have been closer to full strength vs Wellston on the road ... Congratulations to Coach Skinner and the Athens boyz ...

Its a bummer they're not having any tourney games at Wellston this year ... The gym is without a doubt the best/nicest venue in the TVC ... It might be the biggest in all of southeastern Ohio as well ... Jackson is probably bigger - but not by much.

Seating at wellston gym is around 2300 with all the seats out. Jackson holds around 1700 I think. To bad like you said wellston does not have any tourney games this year. Its a great spot for a girls district round.

If the gym filled up - would they allow fans to stand around the walkway?
I think it would be neat if they were able to jam pack the gymnasium - and have fans wrapped around the top ... That would be a wild atmospehere in Wellston for sure.
