If you are looking to build a program, this is the man for you with his track record. Boys bball is the only thing SE has going for it. Not anymore I guess.
Job openings around the area?
All I know is Roundtown is open.

The worst fears come true today. A legend (not only in name) is told he is no longer wanted. After hearing about it and now reading it, I believe it was a setup job from the beginning. To have no reprimands in the years and years of coaching to having multiple ones this year, tells me the stage was set and the deck was stacked against Coach Jordan. The administration knew all along what was going to happen. IMO this is a total disgrace in Ross County and I hope every person in the Southeastern School District shows up at the next board meeting and demand to speak. They should have to hold the board meeting in the very gym named after Coach Jordan and demand answers.
I thought the school board was supposed to represent the community. I believe if a ballot (secret or otherwise) vote was taken for Coach Jordan to remain coaching and go out on his own terms, that a high majority would vote in favor. As I posted somewhere else, the Super and the Board who votes in favor of this are committing political suicide.
Good luck to Coach Jordan in all his future endeavors. And to all his former players, there should be e-mails, letters and phone calls that bombard that board office.
GO CAVS!!! 2008 STATE CHAMPS!!!

Wasn't Southeastern only one year removed from being the the number one seed in the sectional last year?
This is sad, very sad. I guess the phrase, "You are only as good as your next game," holds very true at Southeastern!
Good luck Coach!

Rediculous! This is an example of what happens when one or two people don't like a guy and set out to serve their own agendas rather than do the will of the public. Administrators are supposed to do what is best for the entire student body rather than allowing their own personal feelings determine their actions. Board members are supposed to represent the public that voted them into office. I bet if they if they took the time to poll the general public of the school district, they would find that many more people want to keep Coach Jordan rather than letting him go. Someone in the SE school district needs to step up and head this thing off before they thoroughly embarass themselves.

I feel sorry for whoever has to fill those shoes on the sidelines next year!! The only thing I never understood about Coach Jordan is why he had so many assistants. The year before last, I know for a fact he had at least 6. Oh well, good luck Coach Jordan, I hope you find a coaching position somewhere.

I had to explain this to some people at Unioto who said the same thing about all the assistant coaches. All the people you see sitting on the sidelines aren't coaches. You have a couple of statistitions (or however it is spelled). I think there are only about 3 assistant coaches.

There is no one of any substance going to apply for this position. I think someone said that you need 4 or 5 years experience to be the head coach and I don't think any of the current varsity staff has it. The school has made a mistake, and they will have to deal with the fall out from it. I think Mr. Justice is a pawn and this is going to get ugly out there.

Sad and pathetic. Would like to echo what Gahs4ever said about the ZT situation a few years ago. While no one can predict what Coach Jordan's future holds (known him for a long time, and a fishing pole and mushroom stick is probably looking real good right now!!), here is one prediction for SE boys basketball: years of mediocrity, lots of in-fighting, and few, if any championships.

Wow! Not being close to this situation and only knowing what I've read different places, I am amazed at the awesome amount of support this man has received. I haven't read one negative thing about the man or what he has done and have not read one comment anywhere in support of the board. That sure says a lot!

This came as a big shock. To treat Larry in this manner, is just plain wrong. The board has made a huge mistake. I would hate to be them. They will always be remembered as the Board that let a basketball Coaching Legend go for personal reasons. Larry, good luck in whatever you get into from here. Thank you for some wonderful moments in your basketball coaching career. You will be missed, but never forgotten.

While it's hard to argue with Jordan's record, this probably will not result in the death of Southeastern basketball. Piketon has gone thru this twice in the last several years, with Morris Gullion not being renewed for football, and Brett Coreno not being renewed for basketball. While the football program suffered a few lean years, Tyler Gullion has the program headed in the right direction (Morris is even one of his assistants) and Jeff Lisath has kept the basketball program moving forward.
Keep in mind that the administration probably isn't allowed to comment publicly about the whys and why-nots of Jordan's non-renewal, which only fuels speculation.
