If Tobias ever paid the $2 to park I'd pay it for him....but he won't pay it.
Hope you have a safe trip, cruddy game experience, some excellent $1.50 LaRosa's pizza and a safe trip home.

Trojans have to stay focused after an emotional win vs. Ironton.......the Ironmen are capable of winning this game if Portsmouth doesn't come ready to play..........Jackson has played everybody competitively, and Friday will probably be no exception. PHS controls its own destiny for an outright SEOAL title if it wins out. JHS would love nothing more than to spoil that.
GO TROJANS!! BE READY FOR JACKSON!!

If the Trojans play like they did vs. Ironton it will be tough for Jackson to pull out a win. The Ironmen are going to need a big game from Chapman and hope they can contain Dion and Wayne.

Portsmouth is outstanding.....the Ironmen must play great all-around to stay close enough to pull it out. It's hard to sneak up on A Coach Collins led Portsmouth team.
Hopefully Quinn can slow down Dion and get some quality minutes on his way back.

Excellent game!
Portsmouth just didn't miss anything in the first quarter and Colt Chapman kept Jackson scoring but Portsmouth led by 15 at the half. Third quarter was exciting as Jackson battled back and actually took a 44-42 lead behind the amazing scoring of Colt Chapman....but in the end Portsmouth was the better team.
Colt Chapman played the best stat filled game I've ever watched an Ironman player play. He scored 37 points and had 16 rebounds...mix in a few steals and blocks.
Going from memory (so I'm probably off a bit) I think Brad Howe and Willie Woodard had 36 point games. Morgan Dobbins might have had a 36 but he was 33+ a couple of times. Dylan Newsome had a couple of 32+ games. Seems like Shayne Compston back in 1986 had a 30 point+ game. Greg Harris (1989) Pat Stevens (1985) Vince Jenkins (1999) all definitely had 28+ games and probably a game or two over 30.
I won't forget that performance....especially against a great Portsmouth team.

Did you happen to watch the freshman game Tobias? An 18-13 game just peaks my interest for whatever reason.
Another good win for Portsmouth. Jackson is a tough place to shoot for the visitors.

and I know Harold Howe (late 60's) went for 41 against Athens and Ed Spriggs (early 60's probably went 50+ (52?) and several times over 40 as the all-time leading scorer. And ridiculously old school Cy Lambert (1945) was the first ever Ironman over 20 in a game.
Beth Howe had a 36 a couple times and maybe a 39.

Lost in the stats were excellent games from Tyler Neal and Alec Ray who takes excellent care of the ball even against the lightning quick Portsmouth guards.

Great effort by the Ironmen to come back and take the lead at 44-42 after trailing 40-22...22-2 run was very impressive, especially against a team as talented as Portsmouth.
Outstanding individual effort from Colt Chapman. I really enjoyed watching him tonight. As Ironman92 mentioned, tonight's performance ranks pretty high on the all-time list.

I know this is a late post but I want to congratulate the Trojans for a gutty win on the road with the Ironmen having a 44-42 lead and all the momentum at the time........and I also want to salute Colt Chapman on the best individual performance vs. the Trojans all year.
Don't see too many games where a team goes on a 22-2 run as the Ironmen did........yet the Trojans showed a lot of resiliency in outscoring JHS 20-10 the rest of the game.
