BACF Boys Basketball Classic - Friday, March 25

The 15th Annual Battle Against Cystic Fibrosis All-Star Basketball Classic will be Friday, March 25 at Parkersburg South High School. The boys game will tip at approximately 7:30PM, after the girls game which starts at 5:30PM. Boys 3-Point Shootout and Slam Dunk finals will be contested at halftime of the girls game. Tickets are $5 and available at the door, which opens at 4:30PM.
The Ohio boys roster, coached by Meig’s Ed Fry, includes Captains Bryce Guthrie of Trimble and Vinton County’s Jordan Albright. Guthrie led the Tomcats to the District Championship before falling to Africentric in the Regional Semi-Final. Guthrie, a 6’-4” forward, averaged 18.2 ppg this past season. Albright averaged 13.0ppg and led the Vikings to the District championship and a TVC-Ohio league title. The complete BACF Ohio roster includes:

Boswell, the state’s leading scorer at 36ppg and the all-time career scorer in Wetzel County, is leading the Blue Eagles back to Charleston in defense of their 2015 state championship. Boswell has signed with Wheeling Jesuit to continue his basketball career at the next level. Gilkeson, a VMI recruit, leads Parkersburg South in nearly every statistical category to their 4th straight State Tournament appearance. The Patriot senior is averaging 17.6ppg with 6.3rpg and 4.3 apg. The complete BACF WV roster includes:
